I find it amusing that they have to have license plates
>>29332633
The sexiest of them all
I like this one because of how absurd the turret looks in relation to the body
For all the credit we give Rhodesia, they made some goofy looking stuff
>>29334159

Yesss, light armor is the shit.

>>29334440
I don't have much to contribute, but I'll do what I can.
>>29334521
sorry for the ant picture..
I've been considering doing something like this for an alternative living method. But tastefully done and probably not on this sort of chassis to begin with.

>>29334568
Do give lifts to high-school girls?
>>29335238
Not even if I owned one of those vans, lol.
fenek is total crap, too heavy to swim and for his axes, those are too wide appart to, so an golf 3 is nearly as offroad as this stupidity on wheels and you need an rearcam to drive backwards
>>29335394
Thats a big bug
>>29335449
Stupid nonsense. Fennek is a recon car. Making it able to swim would mean inflating the volume for buoyancy, making it much more visible. The low profile it is has is very good. The only critique I have with the Fennek is that it only supports a crew of 3. Should have been 4 or even 5.
in germany it replaced the luchs, which is slightly higer with its turret with an 20mm-> 2,50m(as an fenek with proper weapons-> 2,18m) 8 drived wheels near eachother, driverstand in front and rear,so it is backwards as fast as forward and it could swim.

There's a fully armored version, too lazy to get the pic.
>>29333450
well, afaik every vehicle we operate that is legally allowed to travel on any public road has a license plate,
so from Fenneks to Bandevagns, DAF's to Pzh2000's, all have license plates, usually starting with a K

How about your daddy's armored car?
Got so many Guardians kicking around now they're just giving them away. Local PD bought this one for $65k.
>>29336965
Ive looked into this a lot, they're pretty much street legal already, the big costs are tranport, import, and restoration fees. The one thats 6k is not in good working order at all. Also even if its restored you will want a nice stock of replacement parts, which you cant get here.
Realisitcally its closer to 14-15k if you want one ready to go.
>>29332633
Step aside, plebs. Future of unmanned ground combat coming through!

>>29337815
More like 25-30k IIRC. There was a threat a long ways back about buying a BTR I think. It was being sold for like 16 or 17 thousand, and that was with an overhauled engine, but it was missing a few tires or something.
A mechanicfag was in the thread and he talked all about having put a lot of research into getting something a lot smaller and finding out how much it cost. The big issue is the electrical systems. All the wiring and fuses and voltages are all non standard/proprietary and in most cases shot to shit from having sat out in the open for so long. Finding replacement parts isn't so much a matter of cost, it's simply finding them in the first place, it's next to impossible. That means your only real option is to rewire the whole vehicle, which is extremely expensive and requires you to replace pretty much EVERYTHING (wipers, headlights, every switch and button, everything) besides the drive train.

>A what?
>You know, tracked, camouflaged, carrying a howitzer?
>A tank?
>No, you idiot, it's a fucking artillery piece, not an MBT.
>>29336988
What the hell do those 'V' symbols mean on ground vehicles? I've seen them on plenty of vehicles pointing in all different dirrections.
>>29344142
>implications
>>29344109
jokes aside, you cant find any data on these vehicles through (online)license plate databases as you can with ordinary vehicles
this also applies to vehicles used by the royal family
>>29344142
appearantly its to quickly ID the unit to which the vehicle belongs[citation needed]
>>29343988
original sexy motherfucker poster here, 99% sure it's a 231. Also I just realized it's literally a backwards version of the Puma

Rate this crazy motherfucker
It was a civilian vehicle, but what gives?
Can't go wrong with a Jackal for fun times rolling in light armour.
>>29357348
Its what you drive when your morning commute is mostly likely delayed by route clearance via sappers.
Early MRAP, basically. From Central and Southern Africa, I imagine.

The BTR sheds it's turret before the act to prevent injury.
