Got a synthetic Adler awaiting collection at my lgs atm. Feels good, man. Only put an order for it last month. Apparently the synthetic model is faster to reach Australia at this time because Adler Turkey ran out of wood.

>tfw I live in the USA, but I can't legally get any of those...

thank you!
I decided to get back into shooting after a back injury stopped me drawing a bow worth shooting.
I read the legislation, do the research and start.
Join a shooting association. $85.
Firearms safety course, free
Gun safe. I only need three guns so that cost me $250.
Down load and fill out a licence application. Certified true copies of my birth certificate, drivers licence, safety course certificate.
Head out to the gun store and pick out a PCP rifle. Pay up front for the rifle and pump $1100.
Fill out the permit to acquire for the rifle.
Send the applications off by mail.
Three weeks later.
Letter from the police. My birth certificate is not a birth certificate. Even though it was good enough to get me a passport, the police will not accept it.
Apply to the birth deaths and marriages registry in another state for a new birth certificate. $55
Three weeks later.
Re raise all the documents, new certified true copies. Mail it off again.
Two weeks later.
A letter from the police requesting information on why I have had sixteen addresses in the last thirty years.
Write back telling them that I am a member of the defence force and get posted every two years to different units. Certified true copies of my ID card, pay slip and a letter from my CO. Mail it off.
Now I also owe my CO a favour.
Three weeks later.
Local police knock on my door. Hello mr N, we have received notice that you have applied for a firearms licence, may we inspect your storage?
I show the SNR Constable my gun safe.
It is not bolted down.
I do not have a licence or a fire arm yet.
Mmmmmmm
You have a lot of hunting gear.
I hunt a lot.
What with.
I open the Ascham and show him my two Umi, three recurves, two modern longbows, three Tudor longbows, FITA target bow, four compounds and a crossbow. Than I open the other door and display two hundred and sixteen arrows.
Mmmmm
What's that?
Tudor livery arrows.
They are made for killing French knights in full armour.
Mmm

Cont.
What is all that?
A full set of 09 pattern webbing, 37 pat webbing from Korea, S59 set I was issued in 1987 and my 93 stuff. My TBAS is at work.
Mmmmm
Ok, thank you Mr N.
Two weeks later I receive my temporary licence. No permit to Aquire.
I call licencing.
Sorry Mr N, we have no record of that application.
It was in the same envelope as the licence application.
Sorry, we have no record.
I re raise the permit to Aquire and mail it off.
Three weeks now and I am still waiting.

now its 75c/1 so expect to pay accordingly
There seem to be no other QLD'ers here.
Probably a good thing though.

California, New York, New Jersey, Mariland, Connecticut, et al are no longer fully a part of the United States.

I do plan on moving at some point. Kuntucky is my main choice, but I've also been considering Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, and some other freer states.
Maryland is pretty bad, but it could be worse, at least I don't live in New York, Cali, New Jersey or Connecticut.
