What does /k/ think of the Simpsons gun episode (The Cartridge Family)? Accurate satire?

It's great laughs. It's also a cartoon meant to be light hearted. Don't over think this.
Did they ever go deeper with Marge keeping the gun? It's been years since I watched the old seasons.
>>29317773
Marge did keep the gun at the end, and used it when Snake broke in to the house.
>>29317773
didnt she use the same revolver when she was a cop? im not sure when those episodes were in relation to each other
One of my favourite episodes. It's written by the very pro-gun John Swartzwelder, so don't take it too seriously. One of the other developers said that's it's in no way anti-gun; but anti-stupidity.

>episode relation
No that's more like easy animation. Seriously why design a gun for one episode from scratch when you can just reuse a design and save loads of time.
>>29318241
i swear to god ill try to make one of these someday
>>29318257
nah i mean season wise or if the cop episode happened before the gun episode
i feel like the gun episode was early on and her as a cop was somewhere in the middle
He had other guns in so many episodes why did Marge have a problem with this one?

Bart, I don't mean to alarm you, but there may be a possible Boogie man, or Boogie MEN in the house.

>Canadian Non-Restricted pistol barrel shroud

I like that you can actually tell what guns are strapped to Moe's Genericton Model 500 Boomstick
>>29317699
One of the funniest episodes they had.
I didn't think it was anti-gun. It just satires the community. I wouldn't over think it
are loudeners real?
>>29318517
Yes.
>>29318517
They're called compensators.
i still lose it when he's changing channels by shooting the knob, and the movie playing is a western where a guy gets shot and falls off the roof.
>>29318517
absolutely

Solid classic Simpsons satire, but too easily picked by liberals to make a point.
Even though I'm overly sensitive about gun rights, I can easily enjoy the episode and I think anyone not completely jaded by the current political climate should as well.

Wasn't it the gun Magie shot Burns with?
>>29318517
Yes
>>29319909
No, it was Burns' own gun that slipped out of his shoulder holster into Maggie's hands.
>>29317699
It was The Simpsons at it's best before it went on too long and went to shit.
>>29317699
Tetragrammaton Cleric tier of funny.
Gun jokes aside, the best part of the episode of the soccer match

i remember watching this when it aired. i lost it at the spanish announcer going nuts over nothing.
>>29320957
That was a really good episode
Che
3 DAYS?? but I'm mad now!
>>29317699
Oh I dont need that........yet
>>29317699
One of the last truly good episodes. They took jabs at everyone but they still ultimately portray most gun people as responsible, if a bit nutty.
Also
>that waiting period montage
I lose it every time Flanders goes by
