Are boots /k/? I want to know if anybody has worn a pair of pic related and what they thought about them.

Also, boot thread.
>>
I must say, the most comfortable boots were my jungles. I wore them in seven different countries. They went to combat with me they travelled with me, they stood in North Korea.
>>
>>29317751
Just took a look at those, they're pretty sexy. What branch were you in?
>>
>>29317694
All I know is that oakley boots suck shitcock and marine issue Steele toe jungles are comph af
>>
HEAVY, not water proof, sore feet, soles wear out

Penis eater.
I'm drunk Fuck you
>>
>>29318075
>HEAVY
You know these boots are specifically made to be light than other boots, yeah?

And the soles wear out on literally every shoe ever in the existence of time.

Not water proof sucks, though.
>>
>>29318075
>water proof,
>>29318144
>water proof

I don't fully trust any waterproofing, even goretex. I'd rather have unlined leather and just apply beeswax with a hairdryer to the boots.
>>
>>29318167
Did that with my Army Winter boots ( which are ASS ) works great. and your right, the only water proof that was 100% was a pair of 400$ mountaineering boots i borrowed for a hike. 10/10 but impractical
>>
>>29317694
Rocky S2Vs best boot.
>>
>>29318193
Keeps the leather looking good for a long ass time too, and gives you a reason to clean em once in a while...if you're not a military member that is.
>>
>>29318144
I wear my issue boots and a pair of timberlands equally. I go through military boots faster.
>>
>>29318201
Wore through the heel in mine in two years. Yeah it was heavy use but for close to $300 a pair they should've lasted longer.
>>
>>29317694
Boots are /k/ if you feel you can operate in them, or that they're operator quality.
>>
>>29318253
100% agree with this. I bought mine lightly used from a friend for shit in garrison and such and they wear down kinda fast. Comfy as shit though.
>>
>>29318297
200 lbs neckbeards with nagants will wear out boots prematurely, individual experience may vary.
>>
>>29318306
That's true. I've been about 160 since I was 17, and boots last a few years for me at least.

I'll usually buy a new pair after a year just out of boredom, so now I have like 3-4 pairs I wear whenever, so now each pair will last forever probably.
>>
>>29318299
Oh yeah probably most comfortable boots I've owned right out the box. I'm just salty they wore down so fast. Bottoms smoothed out quickly too but that's expected from road marches
>>
If you're a Marine and you're not infantry, and you're not wearing bates lights, you're a boot.
>>
If they match your watch, fedora, and belt sure

Hunters Element Foxtrot boots.

Comfortable, stable, waterproof.
Hot weather? Wear thin socks.
Cold weather? Wear thick socks.

I've gone up and down alpine mountains, bushland valleys, thick scrubs, and grasslands- Even Outback desert.
Never failed me.
>>
>>29320035
That camo pattern hurts my soul.

But they do look comfy as shit.
>>
>>29318341
The Nike SFBs are pretty good, and "look" compliant. Keyword look.
>>
Dear OP, I own two pairs of Belleville boots similar to the pic you posted.
They are very good and have helped my bad ankle that I injured in martial arts when I was younger.

Owned a pair of back Mini Mils and Kybers for about a year and a half. Have had both hiking and covered in mud, I use black shoe polish on them. They are awesome.

When I need more shoes I will buy another Mini Mil with good gel insoles. They look like dress shoes polished khakis pants.

Your pic is Belleville Khyber 2. Good boots.
I prefer my danner tachyons for light weight. And best overall boot I've had is the Garmont t8 bifida.

Branch? Düd, US military aint, officially, in NK. Those that have could never say Beyond what he just did. Most likely state Dept. Or CIA.
>>
>>29317694

these are the same as the newer, nicer Belleville flight boots. they are pretty nice from what i hear - light and better feel than the issue 690s, but i wear the Danner Rivots when flying (and am considering seeing if i can sneak my Lowas on when i get to ops)

And just bought these Adidas Terrex Swift gtx for tactical operations. They're light as hell but I have put them through their /out/ paces yet. I've also got some old Red Wing leather beaters for hunting and some Sorels for extreme cold.
>>
Personally I'm a big fan of Bates, they've survived seven layers of hell and I haven''t had a single issue out of them. Shit, I've done what I swore should've broke the side zipper on them about ten different times and it's operated flawlessly.

I'm pretty sure those were separate statements.

You're trying way too hard at this. You're also an idiot if you're going to buy these without trying them on and walking a hundred steps at least. There's a reason that most former military oper8ing around the world buys Merrell, Salomon, Danner, Georgia, and other similar hiking oriented brands. Because firefights are a tiny fraction compared to how much hiking you actually do. Get something comfortable, bro. These thin sole experiments are tryhard gimmick shit.

A bunch of cucks the lot of ya
>>
>>29328501
You wear your dad's old clothes?
Topkek
You fuck your fat mom too?
>>
>>29328542
Boots are not "clothes", dude.

There are only two ways to get boots like these: scour the Internet and overpay if you find them, or get them passed down from someone you know.

If your dad wasn't a yuppie cuck he'd probably have something you might want too.
