We've got a couple of long fanged beasties like the Death Adder, which by and large isn't aggressive but you might tread on him by accident and he won't like it much.
A couple like the Tiger Snake, Eastern Brown and sometimes the Red Bellied Black snake are a bit cranky at certain times of year/temperature and will chase, generally not far but the first 2 are notoriously bad tempered if disturbed.
Generally Mr Snek doesn't bother people too much if you just leave them alone, don't poke them with a stick and other shit to annoy them. I've only shot them when they got too close to the house and posed a threat to pets and kids.
Generally I don't bother snek and snek won't bother me.
On a few occasions I have used .22LR shot shells out of a Ruger Single Six.
If snek tribes give you that much trouble OP, get a box of .22 shot and one of these.
