wew lad. although 3+1 seems limited. thoughts?
>>
It is limited. But obviously it's for concealment, primarily. So you make due. Is the Fabarm Stf 12 available in Canada?
>>
Actually, 3+1(in the chamber)+1 (on your finger)
>>

Pretty impractical but fun

You are much better off with a full shotgun

most useless gun i own but lots of fun, i would buy it again especially if it was 3+1. I will say, if you do get something like that, get the tamer grips if it doesnt come with them. It makes a huge difference, especially when shooting slugs and buck shot.

Not with that pistol grip fitted it ain't, that's a handgun as far as the RCMP are concerned. You need to have a conventional rifle grip, or a pistol grip with a stock for that to not be a handgun.

On the flip-side, you can get the ones that take detachable box magazines.

This, and this.

5+1 in the Grizzly 8.5" is a bucket of fun too, just not the most practical if you don't have sunglasses/earpro.
>>
>>29300562
pistol grips on a shotgun aren't restricted though iirc. the only clause is length, which has to be past 470mm altogether.
>>
>>29301164
also from what i read, the OAL limit only applies if it's a semi automatic, not pump action?

I think there's still a ~26" OAL limit for any long-guns.

When they're semi auto, then it OAL and Barrel length that are taken into consideration.

>MFW trying to figure out this countries fucking back-asswards laws.
>>
>>29301388
i think you're right. and yeah the laws are asinine. i should just go to texas and embrace my inner bbq.
>>
Can't you put a lot of those small shells in one?

26" OAL for both, the mag cap of 5 rounds is the one that sticks to semi-auto shotties.

>pic related, both Restricted, though the top is close to NR length.

Three round magazine capacity? It might as well simply be triple barrelled, especially at that length where it won't be all that extra heavy.
>>
>>29302065
Where would yu get short mossberg 500 barrels in Canada? I hear you cannot cut them yourself but a gun smith can? Or if it comes manufactured that length
>>
>>29302351
How short are we talking? You can sometimes find a 14 inch conversion kit for the 590 that fits the 500 as well, generally it's about 400 dollars though.
>>
>>29302351
You can cut your own barrels down to 18.5'', but anything shorter you need to buy manufactured. As it is, finding any kind of barrel for a Mossberg shotgun in this country seems to be a fucking pain unless you want a rifled slug barrel or a 28'' ribbed hunting one.

If anyone on here knows where to pick up 18.5'' Mossberg barrels here I'd be very grateful.

Post a wanted ad on the CGN buy and sell page. That's how I found one.
>>
>>29300393
and you'll go to jail when you need to use it to defend your life
>>
>>29302312
The lockwork and manufacturing for a multi-barrel is a hell of a lot more complicated than taking a pump-action and chopping it down.
>>
Silly canada, those laws don't make any sense.
>>
>>29302312
3+1 is more than 1+1+1
Triple-barrel shotguns are very expensive, and not generally available in stubby forms (the Chiappa is like 1600-1800 buckaroos)
They're also pretty heavy, and have varied points of impact.
>>
>>29303543
But I already addressed the weight issue, obviously those extra barrels get heavy, but if it's that extremely short, it would mitigate it.

>>29303006
Well, they could make one with multiple triggers. Probably reuse the mechanism from a double barrelled one. And take advantage of it by having different barrels, say, two 12 gauges and a 20, or one for slugs.

>buy expensive triple-barrel gun
>bubba takes the hacksaw to it instead of buying a purpose built shorty pump
>>
>>29305505
That's why it would make sense for it to be purposefully made for places like Canada, and practical, tailor made cost cutting measures could be figured out.
>>
>>29300458
The way Canadian gun laws are, the magazine limit is specifically for the caliber the magazine is *intended* for, not what it's actually used for. So it would be just as legal to have a 5 round 10 or 12 gauge magazine, and load 6 20 gauge shells into it, assuming that that is actually possible.
