Then there you go. Have you ever even looked down the sights? The Nagant comes from a time when iron sights were a fashion accessory for combat pistols. Point shooting ruled the day. In short, the sights are absolute dogshit. Combined with a 12lb trigger and you'd have to be Miculek on Adderall to even come close to a 2" group at 25 yards, which is an impressive display of marksmanship with any handgun, offhand anyways. Do you know how much 12 pounds is? Go pick up something that's 12 pounds, and imagine pulling that weight with only your trigger finger, all while keeping the pistol perfectly on target.
I'm sure the Nagant is mechanically accurate enough to pull a 2" group at 25 yards, actually shooting one is a completely different story.

It's so heavy because the trigger pull also has to push the cylinder forward in addition to what it normally does, then factor in good ol fashioned Russian workmanship, and the trigger ends up horrible.
