/k/ lets see some badass boots. Give me your favorite military boots for rucking, camping, operating, and kicking ass, but don't rub your feet the wrong way until tehy become giant blisters.

>>29281928
Great boots. Even better without the faggy Eagle Globe and Anchor on them.
>>29281751
>leg boots
get on my level
>>29282253
how do you not cut yourself with all those edges.
like seriously.
i'd probably be bleeding after the first time i cross my legs wearing them.
my car's tires would be flat.
there'd be holes in all my doors.
the neighbor's cat would suddenly go missing while i have a fresh dirt pile in the backyard.
These are my boots, they're pretty damn comfy. Any second opinions?
I'm worried they won't hold up well, it's like they were already broken in.

anything that has glued on soles are crap.
>>29281751
Altama Desert Hoplites are fucking awesome.
>>29282591
they do look pretty rad
>>29281751
I wear these about half the time on any given day.
They're supposedly unissued army mountain boots, but I think they're just very very close copies. Still really tough and retardedly comfy though.
>>29282674
Close. Before our deployment to oef 10-11 our unit was tasked with soldiers that had to wear different types of test boots in training. They look similiar to what they issued, but look more like one of the copies of the test boots they gave to some of us
Not all that fashionable, but these guys are retarded comfy.
>>29282712
>but look more like one of the copies of the test boots they gave to some of us
What did they think?
Mine have held up really damn well, only complaint is how the laces are set up.
Lowa's every time. £150, but worth every penny.
>>29282851
>>29282737
I have the low-ankled GoreTex Merrills. I wanted the high-ankled ones, but they ran out.
>>29282391

based docs.
pic related are my favorite boots for problem solvin.
>>29283050
Fuck off nigger scum
Danner mountain light 2
These, they were "free".
Had these in brown, wore them new out the box (I know I'm a fucking idiot) for a 200km trek through the Alps.
Luckily not a blister in sight, extremely comfortable; relatively lightweight, and waterproof, 9/10 would trek again.
Scarpa Manta's I think they're called!
Red wings are good for damn near everything.
I wear my Blauer Clash 6" on patrol errr day. Love this lacing system!
>>29283224
My other pair
They hold up to everything, are decently insulated for regular inna woods activity (might need something warmer for winter treks but it's been fine for me in New England winters with wool socks) and if you go to a red wing store they actually mold the boot to your foot
My personal favorites for traversing low-G environments
>>29283339
I was never able to bounce for shit in those
>>29283379
Like most other boots, they too had a breaking in period. Once they were worn in enough to flex under a sub 100 pound child, it was on.
Oh man could I get around in those things. Between the sprained ankles, I'd wear them from after school until bedtime. I was devastated when the fat fuck neighbor kid blew out the straps.
>anything other than jungle boots
Literally just
If only the leather diddnt wear out in 1 year also Panama soles are the only logical choice
>>29283224
>>29283301
The leather on new Redwings that aren't their hipster heritage collection is too thin. Most aren't even made in the States anymore. Brands like timberland ruined them by being cheap.
>>29282884
>all those fucking seams
Have fun when the goretex eventually gives out.
>>29283503
>>anything other than jungle boots
I like boots that feel like boots, not like Chuck Taylors
My red wing ropes
I don't want to find a photo, but Rothco's hot weather leather jungle boots. Best jungle boot.
>>29284090
? Sorry you cant enjoy a classic boot.
>>29284128
Thats a funny Way of spelling "cheap piece of trash"
Best boots for being on concrete all day? I have a pair of Timberland pros I got for a steal, and of course they're at the end of their pathetically short life so I need something new. Also have flat feet, if that makes a difference.
Anyone have any experience with Corcoran Tanker Boots? I've been eyeing a pair for a while. General advice is also appreciated. I've never worn proper combat boots before, so I've got a few questions. Will they be comfortable enough for daily use? Is there any real difference between regular boot laces and the straps on tanker boots?
Thanks,
>>29284252
Tanker straps can't melt and are really hard to get worked loose and caught in machinery.
>>29282253
Tactical Gene Simmons approves
>>29284252
clean them after hard use, don't let mud dry on them, put some kiwi on them once a week and use a boot brush. I had leg boots like in OPs picture last me 2-3 years when I was in the Army back when we still had to shine boots, and I was Infantry. Wore my legs to NTC, trips to the field, got them covered in that damn Texas/Ft Hood mud. Kept them clean and just used black Kiwi. Only thing that did them in was slashing them on razor wire
>>29282591
Kinda looks fleshlighty
>>29282253
what is that? the hot topic "this isnt a phase" boot
>>29283050
does every black person does this when they have some money?
>>29284545
no, those boots have the 3-4 inch sole with more color and they go up almost to the knee
>>29284640
Tends to be a byproduct of being brought up super poor and coming from a very poor culture; it's like saying fuck you to your previously impoverished self.
How do boots work in the Army? Are you allowed to wear what you want?
>>29284049
gee, it's a good thing they made it super difficult to weed the cheap shit out by stamping the country of origin on the box and putting it as a filter on their website
>>29284170
I meant McRae but I'm fucking retarded.

>cf mk4
CF general issue boots are terrible
>>29281751
I have a pair of new Merrell Moab Goretex mids that I absolutely adore. I have a pair of Merrell Fraxion insulated boots for winter/wet weather. I have a pair of Lowa Zephyr mids that go a little higher than the Merrell mids for better ankle support. I really like all three.
I live in a very mountainous but relatively dry area of the Southwest. Higher elevation.
>>29285878
if you go to a Red Wing boot store, the boxes say "made in china" "assembled from foreign parts" or "made in america" on the info label
on the website you can filter right below features
>>29285032
Within regs.
Danner Acadias for work. Danner Mountain Lights for hiking.
>>29285032
basically any pair pf boots sold at the base clothing and sales store are authorized for wear, EXCEPT for a few things, like the Hi-teks they sell.
