I have an M92 PAP and two Dracos. I like the Dracos more.
I think the mini and micro dracos are daft, to each their own though.

Overall length and the fact they do not have a stock.
AK is obviously more compact, but would be a pain in the ass to SBR.
Way more easier to put a arm brace or SBR an AR. So depends on what you're looking for.

The laws. Anything with a barrel under 16 inches and overall length of 26 inches is considered a SBR, which you have to pay a tax stamp with.

Making an Ar pistol in .300 blackout did my research and spent roughly 900 on the build just waiting for my upper to come in doing a 10.5" here's my lower without its buffer tube and armbrace
I would think a 5.45 AK pistol would fare much better than a 7.62. I bet the ballistics of 7.62 coming out of that short barrel is comparable to David's sling.

Actually the ATF ruled 2 years ago that shouldering the armbrace is not illegal and it's not considered a functional stock, sig saur actually gives you a copy of that ruling so if a cop decides to fuck with you about your gun he can eat a bag of dicks.

I can't answer all that, however I did read that 7.62x39 is more suited to short barrels and experiences less velocity loss compared to 5.56, which is why I went with an AK pistol over an AR pistol.

7.62x39 is less affected by the shorter barrel. If you want it in AR flavor, the 300 blk meme round performs well with a shorter barrel.

The ar pistol is nice because you can get a good cheek weld on the buffer tube.
Pretty much an SBR without the cuckstamp.
On an ak pistol you have to play around with single point slings or legal grey area shit like the sig brace to get the same capabilities.

AK pistols in 7.62x39 are vastly superior as the round does nearly as good with that barrel length as a full size due to the dimensions of the round.

Chambering the .223 version in .300 blk would only require fitting a custom barrel to it and adjusting the gas system since everything else is already .223 and matches. Full barrel shroud should muffle gas port pop too.

10-13 inches seems to be the all around best sbr length for 7.62x39.
7.62x39 performance vs length goes full diminishing returns when you chop down any further than that, this is pretty much the main reason why the AMD65 is 12.5". The Hungarians understood this fact.
