Hey /k/, can you show me how you carry your EDC pistol? I picked up a USP9c with a flush magazine, 1/2" Beltman belt, and a Cloak Tuck 3.0 but I'm still getting used to carrying and want to be sure I'm doing it right.

I ask because I can't move around much without the fabric of my shirt getting caught on or generally printing around the handle. It's rather frustrating, I'm 5'6" 170lb, I should be able to conceal a compact without a super baggy shirt.
>>
Do you live in a state where it's illegal to OC?

If not, then don't worry about printing so much, it's gonna happen on anything but a mouse gun.
>>
>>29272311
FL doesn't permit OC. I don't mind a little bit of uneven fabric but instead my shirt will find a way to wrap itself around the handle like gift wrap.

I try not to wear tight-fitting shirts. I have had it wrap behind the handle once or twice. Are you lifting your arms up a lot?

This is usually where mine sits, I prefer a higher ride for ease of draw, and have no ban on OC.

My shirts fit but they're not snug. I'm not lifting my arms up, but standing up from a seated position or twisting my torso starts to snag fabric.

I may get an AIWB holster in the future but for now I'm moving the holster between 3:30 and 5 o'clock positions. Pic related.

>I'm 5'6" 170lb, I should be able to conceal a compact without a super baggy shirt.
6'2 and 180lbs and I can conceal a Glock 19 appendix style. It's about having a shirt with a looser hem. And picking colors properly. And doing a lazy half tuck on some tighter shirts.
>>
Is it possible to CCW with a tucked in shirt? would you just have to tuck your shirt in around the holster?

With a proper Inside the WaistBand (IWB) holster, yes. In pic related, you can see how the hooks come down a bit and then have a gap between them and the backing where you can tuck in a shirt. The clips are still visible on your belt, but the holster and firearm can be concealed.

>>29272398
>>29272624
What holsters are you running for AIWB? That may be a more attractive option, especially for South Florida heat.
>>
>>29272573
Might just have to get in the hobby of tugging the back of your shirt when you stand up, which can at least fix the seated position snagging. How are the 3.0's btw in regards to comfort? The padding on the body-side looks comfy.
>>
>>29272725
Mine's a full kydex with tuckable clips, made by Vedder Holsters. Came in a nice little cloth sack with their logo and a sticker, which was a first for me. I'm >>29272398

Too lazy to take a new picture right now. My shirt is tucked in here, but my 9c hides pretty well under a decent fitting shirt.

Tugging down my shirt will be a must. Sitting down causes the gun to angle outward and gobble up my shirt. The 3.0 is my only holster so I can't compare it, but the padded neoprene is pleasant on the skin. It doesn't stick to the skin like leather (plus or minus depending on your style) and wicks off moisture.

Thanks anon, I'll check them out.

Probably. I do love the butthurt over in /pol/ Bernie threads.
>>
>>29273109
I forgot, that I have the holster adjusted, so the left clip is all the way down, and the right clip is all the way up.
Angling the gun like that keeps the handle from popping out, unless you bend all the way over.
>>
>>29273109
Huh, you've got it pretty far back there. This may do the trick for me, my USP conceals much better from this position.
>>
>>29273136
Let me try that. I had both of mine all the way down.
>>
>>29273135
For sure. I'm voting Johnson but I love to watch Trump in debates, he's just straight up entertaining.
>>
>>29273220
Scratch that. I had the holster as far down as I could. Both clips were as high as they could be set.

I pocket carry my custom Ruger LCP in a galco holster.

pic related, not the correct gun but its the holster and how it goes.

Just got home and its wine time so I am not taking a pic right now of my actual gun and holster.

PS- Pocket carry is best carry.
>>
>>29273428
>Pocket carry
Ultimately I know I'll get an LCP and P938/G43 for the sheer convenience of it, but I want to l2properly conceal a compact first.
>>
>>29273479
Don't, pocket carry is balls.
>>
Im 6'1" 195 lbs and I can conceal a CZ P-07, but it's uncomfortable as fuck. All my undershirts barely reach my belt line, and having that textured grip on my bare belly is fucking raunchy
>>
>>29273533

enjoy having to obviously reach for your gun if you ever need it.

I will be standing here / walking in a passive, no threatening hand in pocket fashion while maintaining a shooting grip on my firearm.
>>
>>29273609
I can draw my firearm without having to lift my shirt up. I GUARANTEE I can draw and put a round on target faster with an IWB than you can with a pocket cannon.
>>
>>29272725
>What holsters are you running for AIWB? That may be a more attractive option, especially for South Florida heat.

Incog. Without the extra mag holder in these warming months.

My 19 with a Q-Series holster.
>>
>>29274505
Doesn't the handle stick out when you carry in that position?
>>
>>29272029
I carry a full sized USP in the same holster, and I carry at 4 or 5 o'clock. No pics.
>>
I have a little .380 defender I use for EDC. I just slip it in my pocket and it looks like a wallet or a phone.
>>
>>29273668
>I GUARANTEE I can draw and put a round on target faster with an IWB than you can with a pocket cannon
Literally impossible. I LITERALLY (literally) have my gun in a firing grip while still holstered (in my pocket) and LITERALLY (literally) all I need to do is bring my hand from pointing downwards to point targetwards. It is physically impossible to be faster than having to do absolutely nothing.
>>
>>29272779
>The padding on the body-side looks comfy.
I haven't carried mine much but the neoprene is comfortable.
>>
>>29274914
And all I have to do is aim my pelvis towards the target - have you never played limbo or something?

Proof that you're a noguns right there.

Nah. My back has enough meat on it that my shirt hangs off. I carry my 43 with a +1 base pad most of the time just because it's easier to deal with when sitting.
>>
>>29274505
>>29275376
You look like you have an 1 3/4" belt with a 2 1/2" holster belt clip
>>
>>29275445
Looks more like a 1.5 belt with a 1.75 clip
>>
>>29275470

Correct. The clip on the Q-Series doesn't even need a belt to hold onto, but I need the belt so my pants don't fall off. I have a few pairs of internally-belted pants that I can carry this holster on with zero draw issues.
>>
>>29272029
Appendix carry and you'll almost never print. A lot of people talk shit about appendix carry here but it's the fastest draw and easiest position to defend your weapon if you're in a large crowd.
>>
Appendix carry my LCP to the right of my dick so as not to shoot it off. KRounds appendix holster.
>>
>>29276569
The chances of an ND with a good holster and proper training or so close to zero it might as well be zero.
>>
full size 1911 at about the 4:30-5 o'clock position in an aliengear cloaktuck.
can't even tell in a t shirt
>>
>>29276561
I know everyone on here is oper8tor status big guys, but with appendix carry if you have to turtle you'll still be able to conceal your gun and draw it instead of presenting them a perfectly nice weapon to steal and/or use.
>>
>>29276622
Easy draw from sitting down too. The only real issue is bending over to tie your shoes or that the gun is possibly pointed at your dick.
>>
resurrecting thread to ask this probably meaningless question
but has anyone felt a surge of confidence ever since they started CCW? I feel the best I have in years, I know I'm not invincible, but it feels good to know that if some piece of human trash tries to hurt me or thise around me, their lives are in my hands.

>>29276561
I've never been able to carry AIWB without printing. Someone halp.
>>
>>29278790

Yes. I carry everywhere I go (college campus included). You tend to be nicer to people, and become a better driver as well. I often find myself paying more attention to how people are acting as well. Sounds silly, but I do walk around with a cautious "can't touch me, motherfucker" mindset.

>>29278848

Try a stiffer belt.
>>
>>29278848
Its all about the holster. The more towards 12 you go too the less the end of the magazine will stick out
>>

I agree its great. I remember this one time before I was 21 I was walking to get some food with my girlfriend. This huge crazy mother fucker was in the middle of the street yelling at cars.He then approached us and asked if we had a dollar for the bus. I said I dont carry cash and he just walked off. The dude was like 6' 5 and 250 so he could have easily destroyed me. I was super fucking nervous. Now when I see crazy mother fuckers I'm a lot more calm about the situation and dont feel like the only option i have is to sacrifice my life so my gf can get away
