Is this how you are supposed to request covering fire from a sniper?

why you take your bolt action or semi auto and just lay down a heavy line of suppressive fire.
Duh I swear to god you /k/ fags no nothing
>>
Wouldn't laying down smoke be the only real way to get sniper cover?

Read the OP properly, I meant that the sniper is on YOUR side and you want her to cover YOU.
>>
>>29259723
as he posts on /k/

>>29259044
No
You set your sniper up in an elevated position and activate kill zone, you suck, commander
>>
>>29259952
what if you dont have the luxury of doing that
>>
>>29260153
Yeah, like what if you got Training Roulette on?
>>
>>29259044
it's a simplified method, but yes.

if this were real life, however, you'd need to remove your pants, set your helmet on the ground top down, shake your rifle above your head tusken style and piss into your helmet

if you want to request that he cover a person or object, you're to piss on that instead

Here's the problem OP. The Japanese ethos was warped forever by the atomic bomb attacks during WWII. Millions of Japanese men, woman, and children were forced to come to terms with an overwhelming entity outside their control that could wipe them out of existence without warning using unspeakable weapons. They did this, for the most part, by exploring the idea in fiction. Godzilla is one example. Anime is another. If the United States were to deploy nuclear weaponry against Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and France, chances are the same thing would happen again: More Godzillas, and more anime. Do you think the world can really handle six animes? In the 1980s, United States president Ronald Reagan developed an idea known as "Mutually Assured Destruction" (MAD). This philosophy stated that a war with Russia would not happen, because there was no way to wage it without both countries being destroyed. I see this same situation today. We cannot nuke more countries for fear of mutually assured destruction when they create more anime. Thank you for your time.

What manga is this?

He's suggesting that anime was created as a response to the nukes we dropped on Japan at the end of WWII. It's wasn't. It has to do mostly with the occupation afterwards, which introduced a lot of US culture into Japan. Among the things they eagerly adopted are Jazz and Disney. Before the war it was Germany they were borrowing from (which is where the school uniforms thing comes from).
Their strength, as a people, though their entire history, isn't in innovation but rather in borrowing from others, adapting and polishing them up, and often selling their version back.

That said, yeah, if you put that kind of national-scale trauma on people it tends to dominate their artistic expression for generations. A lot of anime is about super-weapons (like all the /m/ ones).

I don't know, but there was an issue posted like two /ak/ threads back. It should still be in the in-site archive.

It could be argued that the entire metal gear series of games was in response to the atomic bomb

Geez they don't even give a fuck 'DiversionSquad'. THats a nice name for morale
>>
>>29267472
Why? Their entire purpose from the beginning was to fire off some rounds and distract the enemy, but stay in cover and not risk themselves.
