I don't have much use for a weapon unless I'm directing fire. I keep 100% tracer rounds in my mags for the sole purpose of showing where my men should aim.
My troops need rifles more than me. I could, theoretically, get along successfully without ever firing a shot if I'm an effective leader.

Logistically speaking linked M855/M80 is completely different to m855/M80 used in mags. That's what the 6.5/6.8 do everything hur dur crowd can't fucking comprehend.
