R8 my build went to the range today pic was from yesterday sight was from big 5 and turned out to be shit
Anyone know some good optics that aren't 500 fucking dollars
I don't want a scope for this this is a mid range type setup, sight is a bariska red dot it didn't last 10 rounds, won't hold a zero and after those 10 shots you can't bring the reticle even into the sight picture
Bi-pod is for shits and giggles and for my extremely tacticool tubular operator status

#1- unfuck your stock. If you like magpul so much, get their buttstock. It's better.
#2 Get rid of the bipod. If you aren't using it, it shouldn't be on the rifle.
$3- Do not cheap out on an optic. You've already seen how cheap optics work. Buy something that is made by a reputable company, like Aimpoint, or Trijicon.
#4 How far is medium range? 100-400 yards? 500 yards? I have heard medium range be taken all the way out to 750 yards before. Do you want something that can perform at this distance, or are you using "medium" range to keep yourself away from glass because of your preconceived notions about it?

I have nothing wrong with scopes I will shot out to 1000 yards just not with this gun. I'm going for somewhere between 100 to 300 yards what are some decent optics for a decent price I'm never going to buy some 50 buck special again

PA advanced micro or 1-6x or a vortex strike eagle. this is if your on a budget
Vortex, Bushnell, Burris, and Primary Arms all make quality optics in or around your price range. Did you even think to google it or did you just want to get heckled for your shitty rifle?

Optics been sitting in the box since I got home it's going back tomorrow, stock came with the gun in the near future I do plan on replacing it

100-300 is still pretty "close"
Aimpoint carbine optic, or the new Trijicon MRO will work well.
You can get the carbine optic for around $350, and the MRO for about $450. Both will work well, MRO better for closer up, Carbine for closer to 300.

Buy an aimpoint PRO. Get rid of the bipod, move the foregrip further forward.
If an aimpoint is too expensive, buy a better rear sight and realize that you get what you pay for and your average rifle optic starts at $450.
I saved for years and sold off a lot of stuff to buy my TA31.

Do you just have an open hole where your forward assist should be? Buy a Bushnel TRS25 with a UTG riser set to see if you like lower 1/3 or absolute cowitness. They are like $60-80 and ok for plinky guns...
