What's /k/'s thoughts on the AG42 Ljungman? I've been considering to buy one for a while, both for hunting and just range plinking. 6.5x55 Swedish is meant to be a really nice caliber and I want to try it out, but I don't want to buy another mauser. Anyone have one?

Actually Ljungman owner here.
Be aware shooting commercially loaded ammo is dangerous. Most if not all 6.5x55 is loaded for mausers. The burn rate of the powders used is too slow for the AG and can and will destroy the gun. Know this before you buy one. You may get away with it for a while, but why risk it?
Handloading with the powder of proper burn rate is essential with this rifle.
