Ishapore L1a2 worth $300 in /k/'s opinion?

Offer $250.
>>29245570
Yes, but try >>29245575 first.
>>29245575
This guy gets it
>>29245570
That depends. Do you like having a weapon that was manufactured by an inferior people and is a mere copy of the original? Do you like having steel parts that are painted instead of blued and look like complete shit when they get scratched or worn? Lastly, do you prefer your guns to be void of of quality control and to include rough bolts and crude, nearly impossible to use v notch sights?
If you answered yes to all these questions, than the ishapore Enfield is for you!
>>29245593
Eh I'd buy it just for shits and giggles. If they are that rough they'd probably make decent beater rifles for innawoods adventures.
>>29245593
I like the fact that it shoots 308 instead of that 303 shit. Also I already own a Long Branch.
>>29245593
>painted instead of blued
Do you not know what Suncorite is?
>>29245605
>.303
>shit
>>29245602
All joking aside, the sights on these rifles were honestly the worst I have ever seen. The rear sight block is massive with only a tiny notch in the top, so it's like trying to aim down a brick wall. I do not exaggerate when I say that I felt hard pressed to aim and hit anything with this rifle. Makes the mosin sights feel like a luxury.
>>29245635
>.303
>not shit
>>29245635
ahh ya a dollar a shell for some antiquated shit shot.
>>29245643
the truly is a hurdle to over come. I am considering tacking a scope on to it.
>>29245686
I normally do not advocate modifying surplus, but in this case attaching a scope is necessary to make the gun usable. I cannot speak for its accuracy or reliability. My impressions are taken from holding them on roughly a half dozen different occasions.
>>29245635
>janky old blackpowder cartridge turned into a smokeless cartridge
>can't be handloaded with .308 projectiles
It's particularly mediocre. It was good back when it was cheap.
>>29245700
Now I have used those sights with varying degrees of accuracy at 50-75 yards they usable anything after that is mess to figure out where to hold.
>>29245719
Exactly, the rifle is capable of more than that, but not with the irons.
>>29245758
despite what this guy says >>29245593
I think it's a fine rifle all of its components are actually nicely fitted other than the sights that were cut out with hand file. Aside from the average wear you'd expect to see on a surplus rifle its a nice peace. Now I've looked around and found some pretty easy ways of attaching a scope that should keep all its original components intact. I don't think the gun will ever be worth much but it is a uncommon (maybe not rare) variant of the Enfield that shoots a modern round so I think that will serve as an interesting piece in my collection.
