Why would anyone carry hammer back ready to fire like this? Seems like a good way to blow your pecker/ ass off.
>>
>>29240632
guns can only shoot with their spurs cocked back, you noguns faggot
>>
I trust my pecker enough to know it won't an hero, plus my pantsburrito is too big to fit in the trigger guard.
>>
>>29240639

No, tard. When the hammer is back the trigger fires it.

>grip safety
>actual safety
>possibly firing pin block
>holster that completely encloses the trigger

1911s were designed to be carried with the hammer cocked, my baiting friend.
>>
>>29240632
Because the trigger still needs to be pulled, and a decent holster like the one in the pic will cover said trigger until the gun is drawn.
>>
>>29240632
1911s are not safe to carry with the hammer down on a loaded chamber, because all their safety features are designed to work with the hammer back.

There is a grip safety, a positive engagement thumb safety, and sometimes a firing pin block that are all there to prevent accidental discharge, but when the hammer is down, none of them are engaged, because the hammer us only down when firing, if you use it right.

So hammer down on loaded chamber, the gun could fire if it falls or if the hammer is struck.

Hammer up, the gun cannot fire unless the safety is off, the trigger is pulled, and the handle is being gripped.

It takes a hell of a blow to do that. More than would typically happen from a simple fall.

Youmu is my wife!
>>

There is literally no advantage to carrying condition 2. None. Not one.
>>
Luckily I've got enough pecker to spare.
>>
>>29240632

1911s are actually safer with the hammer cocked than the hammer down (not half-cocked), unless it's a bastard model with a firing pin block.

Your wife is a dorky slut!

Your wife is disappointed in you.

Because that's how a single action only semi automatic pistol, especially the 1911 is carried when the possibility exists to have to use it to kill someone.

There is not one competent human being on the planet who would carry a 1911 for offensive or defensive purposes without a round in the chamber and the hammer back.

Stop being a pussy, a loaded Glock is quite literally more prone to an unintentional discharge, and they are plenty safe to carry locked and loaded.
>>
>>29240632

Taking the bait.

I carry a 1911, condition 1 is the best way to carry it. That way it is easiest to engage the target, as well as having the manual safety, grip safety, and drop safety in place.

Carrying it hammer down, empty chamber is possible as well, but requires, I'm my opinion, too much time and too many actions in order to engage a threat.
>>
>>29241447
What holster is that?
>>
>>29240632
That is the only way to carry a 1911.

Cocked and locked. Anything else is dumbass tier.

Many new 1911's have a hammer block safety, but like >>29241121 said condition 2 is fucking pointless anyway.
