Knives aren't silent either. If you really want to eliminate sentries quietly you can use a specialized weapon with specialized ammo and shoot them in the face at 100 yards. Sneaking up on a sentry and not making any noise is way harder than you'd think.

Yes and the level of noise depends heavily on what the weapon/suppressor/ammo combination is, retard. Heavy subs shot from a gun with a big can are pretty quiet.

People who think this FMA shit they're doing in the video is sentry elimination are blind. What kind of sentry elimination involves you getting in a bowie fight with them, James Keating style? Really the odds of needing to do knife sentry elimination are so low, you barely need any training. Just tell them to stick the knife in the side of the neck and slice out the front, it doesn't matter because 0.01% of these guys will ever need that skill, and if they do, they're smart enough and strong enough to get it done anyways. If you really expect to need sentry elimination, you can bring a fucking tomahawk or some shit.

I have never practiced it (I have done the basic mma stuff. Brazilian Jiu jitsu, must Thai, wrestling, and taken a small amount of Kali before leaving the city so I have no opinion as to the effectiveness of Kali) but I've seen its techniques used effectively. However the way most "dojos" (fucking hate that word) train is asstarded.
I think the point behind a lot of that kind of stuff is so you have options and can perhaps utilize those techniques, but mainly to convince you to continue fighting even when in a total shit show where it might somehow be the only possibility rather than running away. At least that's my guess.

I get it but IMO training people to slap the knife hand away as a default response is going to get you hurt in the real world, when the other guy is trying to drive it with actual force and is putting his hips into the strike.
I think it makes more sense to get a wrist tie and control the knife arm for the duration of the fight, rather than counting on your ninjitsu knife deflecting to keep you safe while the other guy flails at you with 8" of steel.
