Guns aren't like cars. Unless the store has a range that allows you to rent guns or you can find a range that rents guns, you can't take it out for a "test drive". If you don't live in a big city, you probably won't find such a place.

It's a really small compact pistol for being 9mm.
7+1 rounds of 9mm is a great combo for a small pistol.
And 0 profile means when you shove it in your waistband a general passerby won't be able to see it sticking out through your clothes. You won't worry to much about that if you want to open carry though.
The biggest part of defending yourself is to not get into situations that would require lethal force in the first place. If the attacker already has a gun to your head, what are you going to do? Shoot them in the back? That's illegal. Deescalation of bad situations is key, right after avoiding them all together. Maybe don't walk down that dark street in Coon Town at night. This is the problem most /k/ autists that are actually old enough to carry (or own) a gun have.
