Anyone down for a rainy day meet at SR&G? The rain will probably keep it from being really busy. We're shooting from covered positions anyway so we won't get wet. Bring an umbrella for changing targets.

It's a lot like a normal range day, only with more memes, an NCR flag and you can typically get to shoot a much wider variety of guns since people let people try their guns.
Getting trigger time on a wide variety of guns, even if you don't like them gives you a broader base of experience from which to determine what you like, what you don't like, what you can acquire and where. Therefore, a /k/ meet is a good opportunity to do just that.

Been here before, it's kind of a small range. There is a much bigger one 20 min away in the mountains, more lanes but can't shoot steel targets. If we get more than 15 people it's better that we go here.

Los Altos is ok. I like to shoot clays there, but that's it. ROs never gave me any grief aside from one talking shit about my slav shit once. From what I see, a lot more dude bros shoot hand gun there (since SVRG only has like 6 hand gun lanes and 25 yards only), and more often than not they give me their brass.
One thing I don't like about their rifle and pistol ranges is that the ceasefire takes forever and their sessions seems short as well. I mean, SVRG ceasefire is long sometimes, but generally everyone is quick due to how small the range is and sessions are usually at least half an hour and even longer if there are fewer people.
I also don't like driving there. I like the mountains when i'm on my motorcycle, but not in my car. I'd rage just exit the freeway and be on a two lane highway for just a few minutes instead for nearly an hour.

A lot of the /o/ group suggested LAR&G because it's off Skyline and therefore easier to find and Touge to. But I still don't like their attitude and facilities.

But you are right, if it's going to be big then either Sunday at SR&G would be better (less crowded) or Saturday at LAR&G. That said I'm expecting about 10-15 people tops and if worst comes to worst we can just hog a pistol table +2-3 rifle tables and rotate between ourselves without being too much of a nuisance.
Anyway I want votes. SR&G or LAR&G.

The only reason is the RO I.E. The owner wants to look at your guns as slow as possible.
Im working on the waivers for the meetup and will be sending it out soon. Please bring a signed copy with you to the check in table. Ill be riding to the event with my mom and aunt. They will be helping with the setup, registration and security. The important thing to remember is that any guns brought to the meet will be given to a safety officer for storage. My aunt and her state police boyfriend will be providing this service as all as being range officers.
When you want to shoot, just come to the security booth and check out the gun. An range officer wil escort you to the firing line.
Please keep 3 seconds between shots. No rapid fire.
