I am looking to get a red dot for my rifle, narrowed it down between the PRO and the MRO. PRO is a little cheaper at $400 but the MRO is a little lighter for $100 more. What would /k/ recommend? Any experience with either of these?
I've used the PRO and would suggest it for just the battery life and reliability alone. Someone posted a news article about one surviving a damn house fire a while back.

Why are the frigging batteries such a pain in the ass to find? Mine finally died and I can't find the little fucks anywhere.
>Canada btw

In the US we can just order them in packs off amazon, does amazon deliver to Canada from the US?

>Amazon
I'm pretty sure they do, I didn't think to look there. Been looking at gunshops and at electronics stores because I figured it would be a fairly common battery, was dead wrong, though. Almost makes me wish I'd just got a Trijicon, the batteries only last 5 years and their shelf life is apparently shorter than that, too. Unless what I read was mistaken.

I find them at the local camera store. The guy's a nazi, so all he stocks are Varta.

Since this is a red dot thread, what is a good red dot for baby's first red dot as a cheap ass, range only purchase to put on an 7.62 AK?
I know you get what you pay for but is there anything in the 60-120 dollar range that works well enough or should I subscribe to buy once cry once and save to get something higher priced? I've never used a red dot before.

primary arms advanced micro dot is the absolute lowest you should go while still being good. Did you even consider the prices on a mount?

>Did you even consider the prices on a mount?
No... Don't they usually come with a mount?
>>29205949
It does come with a picatinny mount, you need either a side rail or an ultimak.

I have rails already on my AK.

Should be good then. Pic is mine on my AR.

I have never shopped on Amazon, dude.

I just picked up the MRO myself along with an American Defense 1.5" mount for it and so far I like it. I haven't abused it much yet, but the quality and warranty from Trijicon is worth it in my opinion.

I decided to just get the MRO. Ordered it with the full co-witness mount for $488, seemed like a good deal to me.
