So I recently went shooting with this s&w 22lr and I was hitting soda cans at about 90-100 yards. I'm pretty new at this I do own a sub compact xd9 for self protection.
But basically what would /k/ recommend for a longer range pistol target shooting

It's at a desert range in AZ max is 120 yards. I don't know the exact yardage but I wasn't very far from the back

If your .22 gun is a Smith and Wesson I would recommend model 27(28 might be a hair bit cheaper) think of a model 29 .44 magnum like Dirty Harry or Taxi Drover, but in .357.
Say a four or six inch, oddly hear the 3 inch make is very recommend and praised(Patton and Bob Campell) they have eight and ten if you want or can find them.
Model 19/66 also works great for targeting, looks almost like your pic.
Others would be better on the pistol recommending side, but I would say Colt Gold Cup or a CZ 75.
