I just finished college and going to buy my first gun.
I'm looking for something 200-300$ range.
preferably reliable, relatively cheap to feed, and nice.
I was thinking a mosin or 98k.

K98, mak, cz82 seem like great choices. Maybe try a marlin 60 so you wont flinch.

Keep saving until you have $500. Past that you'll see diminishing returns but the difference in quality and utility between a $500 Glock and a $300 Mak is exponential. Same goes for a $600 AR and a Mosin. Have some patience. Be smart

If you're into 1911s and on a budget look into the Springfield GI models, they're nothing too fancy, but they're great value.
Mausers are waaay nicer than Nuggets, but more expensive both to buy and to feed. Still, you're probably not going to regret it.
If you're into those Slav handguns, have a look at those Zastava 88s, they are visually similar, not too expensive, and shoot 9x19, which is more common than 7.62x25 most places. Good luck, and have fun! :-)
