Overkill for the purpose. And, yes, I know there's no such thing as overkill. But when we're talking tanks, we're talking endurance as well. You'd be using an unacceptably high percentage of your ammunition for each kill, and 30 mm is way more than an anti-infantry weapon needs.
Better a M134. Maybe with a 20 mm chain gun mounted next to it for hardened targets and a couple of TOWs for anti-armor.
