Honestly this might end any support I have for him. Nothing would permanatly gimp the US military more than cancling the f-35 hopefully if he gets elected he will have someone other than sprey or sprey acolytes talking to him about the realities instead of internet delusions
>>
>>29162222
Actually he said he'll only do what the generals that Obama fired tell him to do. He admits that he does not know military anything, and will grand the army freedom of choice of hardware.

His literal words;
"The army will get what they WANT. Not what special interests and lobyists tell them they should get!"
>>
>>29162222
>Honestly this might end any support I have for him.
Good. Support Hillary instead so she can take guns away from all you nutjobs.

Who cares?

We won't have any kind of military if we become some 3rd world brown shithole that everyone but Trump wants to turn the US into.

everyone other than trump is pro-amnesty, pro-mass immigration, pro-more illegals, pro-turning the US into a bankrupt socialist brown hellhole similar to brazil

Do you think this marxist agenda going on in europe isn't also pushed & promoted by the US government/establishment?
>>
>>29162389

You realize that until this election cycle all of Trumps political leanings have been to the left? He's coming into this whole thing and lying to idiotic conservatives to get them to believe that just because he ran a big business that he has always been some hard core conservative.

Which is a lie.

trump's whole objective is to appeal to that dude on Facebook who spouts stupid bullshit all day long

that includes a-10 faggotry

i really hope you guys don't think trump is actually a good candidate, he is just telling you what you want to hear

hence his flip flopping and evasiveness, he's really the Republican Hillary
>>
>>29162491
>flip flopping
>evasiveness
uh no

He's been a republican for at least 20 years
>>
>>29162450
That is very true. He is not a conservative and he IS lying. He actually has many stances that he does not care about. Such as abortion. Or legalization. He simply doesnt care, but he lies to the people saying that he does, because otherwise he would not get any votes from either side.
However when he talks about both gun rights AND the wall, those are things that he clearly cares about.

They all lie, but i just believe Trump can be better than all before him. Its the first time in a long while that a president can be held accountable for his failure instead of his donors.

As someone who is really into politics i seriously believe that he is the only candidate that should win. It is no longer just a matter of picking up the less worse.
>>
>>29162491
>i really hope you guys don't think trump is actually a good candidate, he is just telling you what you want to hear
This

>he's really the Republican Hillary
Trump never sold strategic assets for foundation contributions. He may be a sleazy lawsuit magnet, but he has nowhere near the level of corruption that Hillary does.
>>
>>29162450
Immigration trumps all..

Non-whites vote democrat. Forever. Period.

Voting for a 'conservative' who allows the demographics of the country to become irretrievably democrat is retarded.

He defended planned parenthood
I doubt he'll want to legalize dope, which already is legalized for all intents & purposes

It's a little awkward to watch him pander on shit like coal power plants & biofuel/corn subsidies tho

Why is the F-35 considered a political talking point?

I keep hearing people reference the cost of the program as being in the billions, but that's over the course of it's entire lifespan right?

Also, why do people keep comparing it in cost to non-military things like moon landings and school lunches? No one ever compared the M1 Abrams to that.
>>
>>29162594
Yea he defended it because of the treatments they give, but he still had to force it out that he was against abortions.
He doesnt want to legalize or to make abortions easy to get, those are just things he doesnt care about.

Its like 'yea... i guess." subjects to him. That is why he sometimes looks like he's lieing. And he also admits that the technical knowledge of it will come out of selected specialists instead of his own baseless opinion in things such as coal power plants and subsides.

And i think he's perfectly right to defer his judgement to those who know more than him on each specific subject.

>>29162637
He tried to get his tank in the way of the shell. He was not fast enough.
>>
>>29162517
Kek. I will votw for Trump over Hillary and Red Bernie, but he is pretty much Obama 2.0. A pathological liar with sociopath tendencies wrapped in a messianic flavor easily digested by the massess.

I'm pretty sure White America is doing a better job of dragging America down overall then. Brown america is.

Especially seeing as how I never asked for any fucking handouts in my 28 years in so far.
Despite being fucked over by all these "affirmative" action programs and other magical bullshit floating around for people of ethnic minority.

The A-10 and F-18s were shit aircrafts and costly to maintain, they need to be retired.

It is like none of you have read Art of the Deal.

Everything Trump says is a bid entry. This whole election is just a business negotiation for him. He will change his bid to meet the most customer demands.
>>
>>29162548
Obviously Hillary is seedy as shit, I mean in the sense that he changes his opinion to whatever he thinks is popular.

>>29162513
He supported Bill and Hillary in 1992 and 2008 respectively. There's more two, he's flip flopped like crazy for many years. Only really a "Republican" since 2012.
>>
>>29162838
Junior was a military pilot, sort of.

WW1 and 2 had a huge effect on our politicians. Truman to Bush sr had been in ww1 or ww2.

FDR visited ww1 as a civilian on a vacation. Because someone told him to do that instead of becoming an officer.
>>
>>29162838
>Every single Vietnam vet that tries to run gets booty blasted by modern politics.

We had a good streak going for a while there. Even that peanut farmer served as a nuke officer. I honestly think that the day of presidents with military experience (or any experience outside of politics, for that matter) is long since over.
>>
>>29163017

FDR was the Assistant Secretary of the Navy in WWI. I think having strategic planning and command experience counts for something.

>>
>>29163059
he didn't he had a bs from the naval academy and took a 6 month non credit course at union college on nuclear power. He also never served on the seawolf as it had only just had it's keel laid a month before he entered the school program, and he left the military a little over half a year after starting the course.
>>
>>29163054
FDR was always a rich man's son that got put into places by family connections.
>>
>>29163170
intresting part about the course is that it was 6 months long supposed and he started in march of 1953. carter was discharged from the navy by october 9th 1953. anyone feel like doing the math

Trump doesn't like how most military contracts on done now. Cost plus contracts that incentivize delays and cost overruns.

As someone who knows how the defense industry works, it full of fat. Lots of useless requirements for people and a job works program designed to employ as many people in a congressional district.

You know that he STILL hasn't published or commented on that Norweigan test pilot's comments on the F-35? Yet he's still making references to that shit WiB article.
>>
>>29162649
Because the F-35 is an easy target, especially for "reformers" who just want to point the blame at something but don't actually know how to fix the root problem, like the crippling bureaucracy and red tape inherent in the procurement process.
>>
>>29163362
the best part is they constantly point to some kind of grand "corruption" yet they never seek to actually point out anything specific. it's pathetic. even faggots here do it.
>>
>>29163362
I could understand reformers, but most cost comparisons being put out by the media have no value.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/f-35-joint-strike-fighter-60-minutes/

>The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter is the Pentagon's newest warplane and its most expensive weapons system ever -- nearly $400 billion to buy 2,400 aircraft. To put that in perspective, that's about twice as much as it cost to put a man on the moon

It's like comparing oranges to hammers. Or saying that if I sold my car I could buy five washing machines.

From the outset the frame of the discussion seems disingenuous and dubious at best.
>>
>>29163146
Jimmy Carter
>>
>>29163017
I don't think so, Vietnam had awful PR that extended to the personnel who served during it to a degree.

However, there's a bunch of OEF/OIF people running for office right now, mostly officers who went in in 2001-2003 ish. Sure it's mostly state legislatures and house people, but they are getting elected in good numbers. In 20 or so years these people might be in position to make a credible run for the presidency.
