Is it any good?

NO

Size was good, its a glock is open to review for +/-. The trigger on my rangebuddies is horrible, advised he look into swapping parts but alas he wants it stock (with a trigger like a buttplug)

Unless you're a 6 year old, asian female or have only two stubby fingers you're not going to be satisfied with the grips you get on it. The trigger is worst than normal Glocks if that's even possible and the ergonomics is worst than its closes competitors:

MP shield
Springfield XDS

Overall, its small but not amazingly small. It has the least capacity and the trigger is just marginally better than the stock Shield. An XDS would do you better IMHO. The stock trigger on the XDS blows both away.
>>
>>29113217
I don't see much of a difference from the rentals. The XDS is much lighter, its more crisp and the reset is a lot shorter but that's about it. It's not like their 1911 triggers which are really good.
>>
It's good; not great. If you're set on Glocks you should maybe wait on them. They have stiff triggers, bad magazines, and extractor problems.

>xds lighter

Than the 43? No. Look up the numbers.

>xds trigger is better

This whole post is trash
>>
If you can carry a glock 43, you can carry a glock 26. Period. Its several pieces of paper thinner and gives you 5 less rounds.
>>
>>29113833

If you can carry a 26 you should be carrying a 19

>but muh grip length

that added bulk is why people choose the 43 over the 26. all comes down to what you can conceal and whats comfortable.
>>
>>29114370
No, a 19 is considerably larger for CC than a 26.
>>
>>29112532
I have one and carry it every day. I am of Manley stature so I needed something easy to conceal. It still is somewhat tough to conceal but way better than a 26 would be.

Like many have said, if you can conceal a 26 then get a 26. And if you can conceal a 26, you might as well get a 19.

I wear medium size gloves and the grip is no problem for me.

I really like the 43.
>>
>>29114408

>reading is hard, the post

If a 19 is "too long" compared to a 26 than someone can think a 43 is too thick compared to a 26.
>>
its good as a purely concealed carry weapon. You'll see a lot of hate on here because its a glock and quite popular. People who make a fuss over the trigger are just grasping for things to complain about and most likely dont shoot very often. 6 rounds plus a spare mag are ok for some and not ok for others so theres that.
>>
>>29113217

Then does that mean I can carry a chopped down 19?
>>
>>29117640
Why do people do this? Is the longer sight radius and extra velocity really that big of a deal?
>>
My old man has a Glock 22. The trigger is pretty mushy, 5.5 lbs aint too bad though, I might get him a lighter disconnector as a present. It will go bang every time, it needs very little lube, and you can even clean it in the dishwasher. So theres that.

Don't hate, anon. Just do what I did and read that post in Crazy Vaclav's voice.

>"What country is this gun from?"
>"It no longer exist."
>>
>>29118377
It is pretty stupid to do this, but it is easier to conceal a long barrel vs a long grip. So in theory there is no disadvantage, but chopping up a 500 dollar gun is pretty dumb DESU.
>>
>>29118431
>and you can even clean it in the dishwasher. So theres that.

Yes you can, you also get free rust spots from doing so.

Maybe if you're a poorfag.

G43 vs P938?
They're both great handguns so you can't really go wrong, but which would you choose for CC?
>>
>>29113833
but this is wrong. Some people don't like a cancer bulge on their wasteline. die.

I've carried both and the 43 is massively easier
>>
>>29119020
I've shot both, and like both. The Sig has a better trigger. BUT a single action gun with a draw from a pocket or IWB with the sig's tiny safety makes me very nervous. I don't think the Sig is as reliable but i own the 43 and mine has been flawless for about 800 rounds now.

you can just put an aftermarket barrel in the 26
>>
>>29119020
Neither, but between the two, Glock is better in every measurable way.

>>

Are you, like, really retarded? Are you still carrying at 4 o' clock like it's 2004 and you ordered a holster from the Sportsman's Guide catalog?
>>
Rented one this weekend. Trigger was not so great, and the magazine often got stuck on the mag release when inserting. Overall I shot much better and better liked a Ruger LC9S.
>>
>>29119020
I also have the same question since I'll be turning 21 soon and cc. I like the p938 but the lack of aftermarket kinda turns me off.
>>
I have a g19, g22, g27 & g43. Thank you Jesus. The G22 is an on duty piece for a lot of agencies for good reason. NYPD issues the G19 for duty carry. I don't wanna conceal that shit thanks. G27 is cool but is more of an off duty carry/ detective carry piece. A tad thick for summer carry...winter carry no problem. My 43 is for the summer when I wear shorts all the time. Trigger on the 43 is heavier than on the other glocks. Recoil is brisk but no more than any .40 Glock. If you want a shield or XD go buy them, no one will blame you and Glock surely doesn't give any fucks. Sig 938 is a single action pistol, so no thanks on that but it is cool.
>>
>>29119020

My buddy has a 938, I have a 43.

I actually thought the 938 had more bite, not hard to control, but less fun to shoot, took more concentration to be accurate.

Odd, since the 938 has that nice single action trigger. I'm a 1911 fan but I don't like the 938.
>>
There is no point to getting the 43.

To me it is anti-glock.

At least the 26 can take 33rd mags, along with glock 17 mags.
>>
>>29119062
>subcompact
>doesn't carry appendix
literally why
>>
>>29120270

because there are shitloads of people who dont trust themselves not to shoot themselves.

I carry everything appendix, even full size. It's the most comfortable, I carry at 1 oclock and high enough not to press into my leg.

Best draw, easiest to conceal.
>>
>>29120296
yep

but you forgot
>easier to access when grounded
>easier to draw with offhand
>easier to draw innacar
>much easier place on body to control/prevent an attacker from getting at in a fight
>>
>>29120314

yeah well "best draw" was my lazy way of saying that

>offhand draw

I dont think people appreciate how important this could be, how the fuck are you going to draw off your right hip if your right arm/hand is restricted? you're fucked.

>>
>>29120270
how are you going to draw in the event a bad guy is already drawn down on you?

atleast with hip carry you can maneuver yourself in a way to get a hidden draw
>>
>>29120344
3-4 o' clock carrier solution to this issue:

die
>>
No. Get a PPS instead.
>>
>>29120376

they're not going to think you're grabbing a gun any more so than drawing from your hip. You would much more likely be getting a phone or cash out of your pocket.

Besides, if a gun is drawn on you already you're pretty much fucked.
>>
>>29118829
Not one spot of rust on this pistol, must be cuz of dat teflon coating
>>
>>29120380

lol
>>
>>29120417
Someone isn't training...
>>
>>29120376
You NEVER draw on a drawn gun, you idiot.
>>
>>29120509

someone is delusional.

the goal is to not put yourself in a position where a gun is pointed at you. your life is not collateral, the movie.
>>
It's a good fun, but there are better single stack options.

It's very close to the Glock 26 in size, so there's no reason to buy it over the 26 for IWB carry

The shield is cheaper and the same size in the single stack class

I really wish three 43 was three same size as three 42

As said, it's a great fun, but know that you have a lot of great options
>>
I have a g43. Like it Breddy gud. Comfy carry and it shoots ok.

Small, but doesn't quite have a "subcompact" feel while shooting.
>>
>>29120098
>>29120145
>>29120185
>>29120214
Thanks for your replies. I personally fancy the Sig, but the additional training required for the manual safety makes me uneasy.

This'll be my first true CC btw. I have a USP9c that I love but it's hard to work it into my lifestyle as a concealed weapon.
>>
I have a 43, I did switch the trigger(SSVI TYR) and connector(Ghost Edge) out though. I love it. I've only put roughly 100 rounds through it so far with no issues. I can conceal it great.
>>
I've got a 42, and recently picked up a 43. I primarily carry a G19, except some days it's way too hot here to get away with rolling the 19. I'm a runner so I'm on the lean side.

Even though I'm not a fan of the 380 cartridge, I actually prefer it in the g42, as compared to the 43. I can get more rounds on target faster, and easier. I'm running speer gold dots on the 42, so hopefully I'll at least injure the threat.

The trigger on the 42/43 does suck compared to other glocks due to a new trigger spring design.
>>
>>29120797
Do you carry while running? What's your setup?
>>
>>29120159
What's retarded about his post? It is easier to conceal a long barrel than a long grip.
>>
>>29120865
If you carry small of the back, maybe.

>tfw appendix will be the primary carry method of CCers within your lifetime

How's it feel to be on the wrong side of history, where you can't easily conceal a larger, higher capacity gun?
>>
>>29120792
>100 rounds
Nigger thats two boxes of ammo of course there wont be any problems
>>
>>29120738

You'll be fine with either. I prefer the 43 but the 938 is fine. Get what you like, if you go 938, just train to draw and flick the safety off.
>>
>>29120820
I usually roll a belly band when I run. It's annoying as fuck at first.
>>
>>29120900
>stop, you HAVE to do it this way or you're very uncool and you wouldn't be like so and so.
Ok.
>>
>>29120380
This.
>>
>>29121227
>uncool
No, SOB carry is very cool. It's also total shit, practically speaking, though. AIWB is objectively better for CC. Name one way in which 3-4 o' clock carry is OBJECTIVELY better.
