Sup /k/,
What is that uniform, and where does it come from? It's widely used in the Azov reservist / paramilitary regiment of Ukraine, almost everyone wears it. The regiment is equipped by some wealthy oligarch, but I don't know where he bought this stuff. Looks pretty cool imo.
Which is rather strange, since there is a variety of different uniforms even in the regular army where you'll see a wide variety of camo, from flecktarn, to old & new ukrainian stuff.
pic related ; some officer serving in Azov.

MTP, british uniform
>>29102310
>>29102501 is correct about the pattern, it's British Multi-Terrain Pattern.
The jacket is not the standard blouse. Rather, it is a modern smock which is based on the old Denison Smock from World War Two.

Thanks a ton.
I'd go /out/ with this anyday.
Don't want to push it, but do you have any ideas of where I could by this for cheap, in Europe?
>>29102310
British parka CP multicam i buyed one on ebay rly good
>>29102769
Not sure where to get the exact model of the jacket, but almost every surplus store has at least some kind of a stock on British MTP surplus. You might wanna check www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk for starters.

>>29102790
Found one for cheap on eBay, thanks.
>>29102310
What the hell is the little flappy thing on the sternum for?
>>29102968
rank holder
>>29102975
Why is it a flappy strap? I've been wondering about it since I got my MTP parka
Is it even remotely good for going out?
>>29102991
MTP is a GOAT pattern.
>>29102991
i have one i use it for going out, pretty good and waterproof ( at least mine is waterproof)
>>29102994
GOAT?
>>29103019
Greatest Of All Time
>>29103019
It's an animal that eats trash. Kind of like a slav/american hybrid.
>>29103058
Thanks.
>>29102985
Just how it is. Some of the stuff I had for US cold weather gear was the same. I guess the logic with that stuff was that you don't want to puncture a weatherproof garment with the points on a rank pin. Better to either use a slip on rank sleeve or at least puncture the floppy strap which doesn't affect the waterproofing of the rest of the item.
>>29103088
>rank sleeve
>rank pin
OOOOOOOOOH THAT EXPLAINS A LOT. Only rank tabs I ever see are velcro so I was really confused.
>>29103099
Yeah, we use rank slides that slip over that flap. The only pin-on rank that I'm aware of are officers dress uniform pips.
>>29103122
I thought you had velcro squares and you'd attach them to the flappy thing's velcro, and I thought that would be weird because it'd be really low. Thanks for the explanation, I'm retarded.
>>29103082
Maybe your student body president got a violent urge to purge Europe from bolshevism one day.
Absolutely positive he's a Azov commander, got the picture on their twitter.
>>29102997
All of them aren't waterproof, and the price range seems to vary. Where did you bought yours?
>>29103176
on ebay for a reasonable price
>>29103199
How much is reasonable? I'm a poorfag, and I only buy shit in rural french surplus, that are really cheap.
>>29103220
Not him, but if it helps, MTP smocks were £30 in a rather nice surplus shop I was in last week.
>>29103220
it was 27,22 pounds (around 37 dollar) british madebut of course not army surplus those are overpriced
>>29103251
i mean its the same shit but not made by an army supplier
>>29102310
>ukraine
no such thing
>>29103276
Not quite. The surplus market here is pretty big so there are lots of companies that make to the pattern, but with inferior materials and craftsmanship to maximise profit.
With a few exceptions, genuine surplus (with a NATO label inside) tends to be the best. I have a 22-year-old smock at home, dad gave it to me when I got in and I was still using it up to the day we were switched to MTP.
Dead comfy.

It's widespread in the Azov reservist (former paramilitary) unit. I have no idea why they chosed this BDU in particular, since no one in the ukrainian army, even in other reservists battalions wear it.
It's weird, because this BDU looks relatively expensive for the eastern european market.

Don't get me wrong m8, I love my separ as much as anyone else.
But Azov's MTP is pretty neato.
