/k/ do you conceal carry at work? Is it allowed? Do you ignore the rules?
Do you think that the most recent shooting will cause both panic buying and a substantial push for legislation?
Do you have a separate conceal carry for work? Maybe a smaller handgun?
>>

>Do you ignore the rules?
You should.
>Do you think that the most recent shooting will cause both panic buying and a substantial push for legislation?

If you buy in bulk, you literally do not have to worry about stupid shit like panic buying and actually enjoy shooting as a hobby. And no, it won't do shit. No need to get riled up every single time some sperg shoots someone.

If its illegal to carry in your workplace no, if its company policy to disarm employees onsite thats up to you, if it's "suggested" that you dont conceal then fuck 'em and do it. My problem is if you don't have armed security staff why also ban concealment for employees. Wish more employers would put this infor, ation in the fine print of job applications
>>
I'm not even supposed to carry a knife at work let alone a gun.
>>
>>29069453
>>29068861
I can't conceal I can carry knives less.than 3.5" though
I think if I did it would be a felony...
>>
>>29069764
Same.
>>
I carried to the interview.
I carried my first couple days on the job.
I noticed a no weapons policy when I was going through and signing the employee conduct paperwork, and have ignored it since.

Not supposed to carry at work, but I do.
It is in the handbook but no one cares not even the CEO. I am certain that at least 2 other people carry in my office.
>>
>>29068829
My work has signs posted that forbid firearms.
Kinda sucks because so many people fucking coworkers that I do worry about angry redneck husbandos going full kip kinkle.
Feels bad, man. Especially since my work station is near the entrance. :-(
>>
>>29068829
In the hospital its no weapons unless LEO however lots of guys carry knifes cause "opening stuffs" and nobody gives a shit unless its a fixed blade.
>>
>>29070259
>>29070378
The trick is you carry and you don't fucking talk about it at work. Or with co-workers even if they are friends.
>>
>>29068829
>Do you think that the most recent shooting will cause both panic buying and a substantial push for legislation?

Hell no!

This story is not going to make it big, it doesn't fit their narrative.

For one thing, the gun he used was obtained illegally. There were also some other things that made it not their kind of story.

Oh, and it would compare very badly to the car based massacre that happened just half a year earlier just a state away.

you're a good man anon.
>>
Work is the only time I have my shirt tucked in, so really I open carry at work.
>>
>>29068829
>Do you conceal carry at work?
No, I work in a courthouse.
>Is it allowed?
It's illegal.
>Do you ignore the rules?
No I don't want my life ruined.
>Do you think that the most recent shooting will cause both panic buying and a substantial push for legislation?
No. For the foreseeable future there is not going to be any more antigun legislation at the federal level.
We haven't won, but they're afraid enough of us that nothing has a hope of passing. If the idiots would realize that we wouldn't have to worry about panic buying and we could move from settling with politicians who aren't actively antigun to actual progun guys.
>>
There is a no weapons policy where I work, and I obey it in spite of having a carry license. They recently gave us an active shooter training where we were told to run>hide>fight.

I had to hold in my rage the whole time, because they're telling me to fight an active shooter, but also telling me I can't use a gun to do so.

I mean, if they aprehend an attack, we should get to carry.

I open carry at my game dev startup office, nobody seems to mind.

I work on a military base so no carrying
>>
>>29070191
Do you think you know which two?
>>
>>29073043
Military bases sounded so much cooler when I was a kid. I assumed everyone walked around with a gun and people in full combat gear were just standing around waiting for a mission or something.
>>
>>29073642
Then you really learn that it is like a full blown city with slightly nicer people
Well atleast around here. 757

If they have a policy of not carrying, wouldn't it be proper to respect that, and at least carry something a little lighter?

Unless you're already carrying something tiny anyway.
>>
>>29076146
I didn't really see it that way.
they had no signs posted in the building that weapons weren't allowed. no one was searched or run through a metal detector.
if anything the policy was probably some corporate liability bullshit.
it wasn't legally binding in my state either. in the hypothetical scenario someone actually noticed the fuckhuge revolver under my jacket and cared enough to tell a security guy or manager, worst thing they could do is fire me and tell me to leave. only if I refused would I be trespassing and breaking the law.
>>
>>29076228
Well, a revolver sort of is a less extravagant gun. This way, there is less worry about someone stealing it from you and going nuts with it effectively.
>>
>>29077106
you serious? how would someone steal it from him?
>>
>>29070471
>car based massacre
Of what event do you speak?
>>
>>29077139
Adacia Chambers ramming the homecoming parade just before the game against Kansas.

my boss grabs where i carry and if i'm carrying he says good job. if im not he grabs my ass and says "why did you make me grab your ass"?
>>
>>29077106
>a revolver sort of is a less extravagant gun

You have no idea what you're talking about, re: anything firearms, don't you?
>>
>>29077386
Okay, fine, I'm well aware that on the other hand, they do tend to use much stronger rounds. But people get less casual with them, so they're less associable with the current worry of mass shooters.

Sedatives, mace, joint ambushes, and so on.

People prone to illegally acquiring firearms can sometimes do outrageous things.

When I worked in the Permian basin half office/half location I pretty much always OC'd on location and would sometimes CC in the office. We specialized in fracking and the local college students would occasionally come into the office and give us flyers on how fracking was killing Mother Earth and one time berated our secretary and I had to "escort them out". We also had some seedy characters coming in trying to buy heavy machinery because they saw our lot off the interstate. OC because most of our well sites had their fare share of rattlesnakes.
We didn't have a policy on firearms because it was pretty much understood we all owned guns and nobody worried about a sperg employee coming in. The Asian guys who ran the IT department seemed pretty uncomfortable about it though.

All the IT at my office is roof-top Koreans.
