No, the Nazis were socialists because they attempted to break down class barriers within Germany and create a society in which all members of the volksgemeinschaft were well cared for by the government and society. As shitty as it was, kicking jews out and "redistributing" their wealth to the "German" people was one of the main initiatives of the Nazi government. It's just that modern western-European socialists include pretty much everyone when it comes to their social programs, not just those that can trace their nationality back 150 years and are prime examples of Nazi principals.
>>
>>28936684
People always slam Chinas force projection, but if you stop and think about it a little, you can see the logic.

By not investing at all in force projection, they can keep a million men at arms, and working on improving infrastructure instead of spending on it now, and maintaining it for no benefit. Its not like anyone wants to take on China as they are now.

But if they ever want, they can just turn their massive industry into building hundreds of missile boats the moment they need it, and that would be enough to counter any military in the world in just a few years.

What do you think is the turnaround time on a navy, 5 years?

agreed, I wasn't doubting their capabilities to crank out the vehicles needed.
indeed they simply don't need any projection right now.
being involved in major wars is not good for their style of economy, they do business with literally everybody in the world.
not to mention bribing shithole leaders into voluntary submission is way more effective than invading and occupying said shithole, see all those projects in African countries where Chinese companies are extracting resources by the billions.
>>
>>28937368
There is no logic in China not investing in force projection. They rely heavily on imports to sustain their massive population with oil and food, which mostly comes through the Strait of Malacca, controlled by the USN. One of the main reasons they invaded and conquered Tibet was for the fresh water supplies. All those investments in African food production to feed their increasingly unruly population will be for nothing if the USN, pirates, or some other entity decides to cut them off. The US and allies have created a containment ring stretching from Japan - Korea - Taiwan - Philippines - Singapore - Australia, and we can starve them to death in case of war. This is the main impetus for them claiming more territorial waters and islands in the South China Sea. The majority of their armed forces are under regional government control, meant to subdue and pacify their unruly local populace. Now that their economy is unwinding, they are having a harder time maintaining control. The CPC's right to rule was based on an implicit social contract with the people in that the government would provide economic growth and prosperity, and in turn the people would endure and overlook abuses of liberties and human rights. Once economy prosperity is gone, the CPC will lose their mandate to rule. China is in a very bad spot right now.
>>
>>28938544
>not investing in force projection
force projection is expensive, and as already pointed out they rather spend their money on other things.
nearly all of the heavy industry and mass production is ultimately in public hand, they can switch from making cheap civi vehicles to making cheap military vehicles easily should the need for mass mobilization arise.

iraq had the forth largest military in the world before gulf one. the reason the us curb stomped them is because the us generals took the war extremely seriously and pulled some amazing manuevre warfare shit, basically flanking an entire country, coupled with an electronic warfare campaign the likes of which the world had never seen before. allied casualties were expected to be in the tens of thousands. no one expected iraq to collapse like it during during desert storm.

go and read a fucking book.

quantity of men and gear is more important than quality since when?
by that logic PLA >>> US Armed Forces, which is BS.

their tank columns where lined up on the highways ready to raped by the AF because they had little experience in combined arms.
their infantry's training and gear was outclassed by several magnitudes.
the Iraqi AF was not bad for a shithole prior to the Iran-Iraq war, but after it was a joke.
EW and Wild Weasel made sure their outdated radar and AA couldn't do shit.
not to mention the Shia majority hated Saddam and his Sunni bros long before the world even knew what an Iraq was, so morale and support was in the toilet.
I am not saying 2003 was a walk in the park but don't pretend the regular forces were an especially tough customer.
the insurgency that followed was and is but for reasons other than military prowess.

>quantity of men and gear is more important than quality since when?

it's been up for discussion since forever, doubly so after ww2 and throughout the cold war. how old are you?

>their tank columns where lined up on the highways ready to raped by the AF because they had little experience in combined arms.

the highway of death occured when the iraqis were already in general retreat.

incidentally, both the germans and the soviets (us too i believe) doctrine calls for the use of roads for rapid transit to the fight and rapid redeployment of forces in war.

>their infantry's training and gear was outclassed by several magnitudes.

they were a soviet style army with multiple tiers. some units were shit, some weren't.

>the Iraqi AF was not bad for a shithole prior to the Iran-Iraq war, but after it was a joke

ever here about the soviet tank commander being asked how the air war went? this is 25 years ago. air wasn't quite what it is now. most munitions used by the us were unguided. it wasn't the given that kids like you think it was.

>EW and Wild Weasel made sure their outdated radar and AA couldn't do shit.

>how old are you?
>kids like you
what a clever retort, did ad hominem ever work before for you?

>the highway of death
not talking about that, is that literally the only thing you can think of when you hear Iraqi columns?
they awaited the US tanks at their highways because the idea of navigating through the desert with GPS for assaults instead of having to use the roads was unheard of in the Iraqi ranks.

>they were a soviet style army with multiple tiers. some units were shit, some weren't.
most were shit and many deserted.
having a Soviet gun from the 50s doesn't make you Ivan the Operator.

>most munitions used by the us were unguided

which was itself replying to:

>United States systematically dismantles largest non nuclear opponent in the world while occupying the "graveyard of the empires"

the only time the us fought iraq when it was the 'largest non-nuclear opponent in the world' was in 1990, gulf one, desert storm, at which point it was estimated at around 1 000 000 men including reservists and auxilaries. that's right, one million men. you are the literal fool. desert storm was the subject of debate from the start. you only missed it because you're a fucking idiot.

the rest of your post, your posts in fact, are nothing but the bro-history of an idiot teenager.. you have no fucking idea what you're talking about, especially 'GPS', an american system, the idea of the iraqis even being allowed to use (the us could simply turn them off, or use it to locate iraqi positions) is simply one of the numerous statements that boggles my fucking mind.
