These are all silly because there is no tummy armor, the number one place cats slice eachother.
I've actually had a few idle thoughts for "outdoor armor" for my cat(s). The idea would be more like the foam helmets retards wear than combat armor. To reiterate, I mean it'd be to generally protect the cat from likely threats outside, not get him suited for waaar.
Proper Cat Armor:
>tummy armor for those soft bellies
>nape, throat and booty protection from (other cat) bites
>must not be catching, can't have kitkats hanging from trees stuck by the armor
>must not be encumbering to normal movement after the cat becomes comfortable wearing it
A cat's number one defense is getting away, so I don't want to prevent that.
Still working on a way to make the kitty booboos more resiliant to hard falls and possibly glancing strikes from cars (I know of a cat glancingly hit by cars several times, died only the 10th time). Armor could maybe do with dope reflectors for cars, and make a high-frequency noise emitter that only activates under compression of the armor similar to a large dog biting (to scare the dog the fuck off).

A lot of the damage cats sustain is crushing damage. If you could give them a solid set of rings around their torsos and head they would be quite protected.
Cats are quite lightweight creatures and their bones are not really hardy, making them more solid without ruining their landing characteristics would be a huge increment in the cat's tactical capabilities.
