buy a battle belt. those vests are pretty bad.
>>
>>28921126

word. they look pretty garbage but I still though I'd ask. I feel like a belt would fall off easily what with all the weight but I assume thats not the case?
>>
>>28921193
attach suspenders to it and tighten it down like crazy.
>>
>>28921115
If you arn't going for a plate carrier too, I'd say get a belt or rig(the type that is essentially a belt with suspenders).

Garbage tier.

The lowest acceptable tier is to buy a USGI FLC. You can get them with a load of pouches for cheap on eBay. Colors in woodland, tan, and UCP (dyable to flat colors for like $10).

Belt rigs are gay. If it looks gay, it is gay. Everything you need can go either on a plate carrier or a chest rig.

Belt rigs are complicating something that is supposed to be stupid simple.

Battle belt > anything on the chest

When you have things on a chest rig or plate carrier the weight is distributed across your shoulders, causing compression on the spine over long periods of time. Though you can't carry much on a battle belt or riggers belt, so most like to split it up.

If you're going to get body armor plates, get a plate carrier, if not, some kind of chest rig or battle/riggers belt or both.
>>
>>28921395
uhh that one was a SKD PIG plate carrier with HSGI Tacos across the front and on the belt which was the Velocity systems operator belt with a CTOMS riggers belt inside.
on the belt besides the TACOS were a CTOMS dump pouch, CTOMS slimline, and otghex nocturnal sidewinder for the Springfield Armory Operator.
>>

>>
>>28921115
I got an SKD UCR vest for very cheap just because it was black (inb4 das racist). If you're willing to get oddly colored gear, demo deals by reputable brands will get you good, but cheap gear.

The UCR is set up to hold 6 AR mags, medical kit, two pistol mags, multitool, and flashlight. I put a pistol on a belt mounted duty drop (*not dropleg*). The whole set up is fairly non bulky and cheap.

Camelbak MULE supplies water and acts as a good little daypack (I used it extensively on deployment, and it's great as a missions essential or 1/2 day pack).

Plate carrier optional underneath or snapped directly to the UCR.
>>
>>28921313
Unless you never want to go in the prone, don't put your pistol on your chest.
>>
>>28921343
We've been subtly had...

Condor is alright, its worth what it costs but that ain't saying much. I have their laser cut chest rig and can tell you if I actually put heavy pouches on it it would at the very least stretch it out, if not eventually rip, which is fine because I didn't plan on putting stuff on it unless it was small (medical, multitool, etc). My heavy shit goes on the belt, as weight distributes well across the hips rather than the shoulders. My kit already included a heavy pack so I don't want to add anything else.

>>28921418
Also for pouches and holsters, taco pouches and kydex are popular. I'd recommend a retention holster.
>>
>>28921383

Slight thread hijack but it might help OP too.

I've already got my PC and BB, now all I need is pouches. I like the taco mag pouches but are there any similar options where they have some sort of strap over the top to hold them in better? Not even just for retention, but to cover up those sinister corners on steel AK mags that might end up digging into my side.

Also what are some good options for small medical pouches? Then flashlights, I have this one I use for duty that a absolutely fucking love (but its not molle compatible). It has an open top and rotates so you can use the flashlight hands free on your hip, meaning it would be a perfect backup if your weapon light fails. Anything like this but molle compatible?

And considering I'd rather not pay one of you faggots for my spot on the no-fly list, /k/ommandostore is out of the question
>>
Why do people still use 5.56 for bug out?
>>
Being "tactical" in appearance only attracts attention in my eyes. But if you want to anyway, to scratch that itch a lot of us have, my recommendation it to just get a Molle/Load Bearing Vest. This way you can put whatever you want on it, adjust it's size to fit over a plate carrier or soft body armor, or even over layers of clothing. You can find good quality ones for cheap on ebay too, you could buy one for different climates to match camouflage even.
>>
>>28922190
Mostly because they've poured thousands of dollaryroos into one firearm and even more into ammunition.

I could see hunting as an argument depending on their climate. Deer can be taken with proper shot placement. Plus most people wouldn't have plate carriers, and its a fairly common cartridge that can be shared with others.

I myself am more of a 7.62x39 guy, but that's because I literally am a filthy slav.
