Do you think if I e-mailed this to Kel-Tec they would make it?
It hooks up to the gas block with only minimally drilling and using the gas to power a small generator that recharges the tritium iron sights on your typical Ar-15. People are always complaining about how quickly their tritium sights die so this seems like a no brainer. It could also be used to electrify the bullets.
I kind of want one and I drew a thing in paint.

This reminds me of an idea I had to put dowsing rods in a bullet to steer it towards. Since animals are mostly water, there is no reason not to make water seeking bullets.
Have you emailed any of these hair brained ideas you've conceived while huffing silver spray paint and turpentine to keltec yet? Fuck this has to be the third one of these this week I've seen....
Looks legit as fuck OP, you should email them to FNH USA instead

My only concern is the high concentration of water in babies.

Or you could just have a speaker that changes the sound of the gun, like lasers or something.

I came up with a linear generator in the bolt carrier as a power source for a piezoelectric fire rate reducer acting on the hammer.

>recharges the tritium
I hate to break it to you bud, but tritium doesn't illuminate because it's electrically charged. It glows because it's radio active.
It's half-life is about 12 years, which is why all "night" sights that use tritium dim substantially after that time. The tritium that was there, giving off a little light, literally isn't there anymore, as it's decomposed into different elements and whatnot.
You don't need a battery or a generator, just more tritium. In fact, that's the only thing that works.
Cheers.

The technology is hundreds of years old. You don't survive for that long by being a fake. Maybe instead of just trying to tear everybody down you ought to build up some new ideas yourself.

You can't do that with electricity bruh.
You need to shove a depleted uranium round in your rectum, and ejaculate over the tritium surface to boost its reaction mass. After the radioactive semen is absorbed, your tritium will be brighter than a thousand suns.

You could use it to charge a particle accelerator aimed at the tritium sights iand mount refilable neutron canister as a VFG.

Don't let an extra chromosome get you down.

The point of putting a radioluminescent night sight on a gun is that you won't need to fuck around with batteries or charging or anything like that. You just have the sight there, glowing, always. No on or off, no discharging batteries, just radioactive decay.
>>28907823
but if the gun charges itself, it would be better, no half life.
>>28907542
>>28907610
Can you even charge tritium?
I thought they only died down after a few years because of its half-life?
>>28907868
Look into diminishing returns. It's cheaper, and more reliable just to use trituim.
Most LED's are probably too bright to have pointed into the shooter's eye at night, and if you just wanted to up-light the front post, you'd end up with a frongmt sight that gives away your position. Since your MS Paint drawing doesn't have amything fucking labeled, I don't see whether you're trying to generate a load inductively around the barrel, or you're trying to have gas impinge on something inside of your little charging module. Either way, the gun isn't going to have anywhere near enough bullets running through it to charge your cell. I don't see any charge protection for your cell either.
>>28907708
If you make a tiny efficient particle accelerator call any science group ever. You just made what people have, tried to for tears
>>28908000
It's easy to see that you want to sound smart but you haven't taken into account any of the context or just text. It's quite obvious that it's a DI system. A dim LED is quite attainable and will run on minimal charge for a very very long time.
You've put trying to look smart over actually trying to be smart.

>gets told that won't work
>wants to put an LED on a front sight, and power it off of a cell that is "charged by the gun" through direct impingement
>tries to claim intellectual superiority
Please, list your components for this DI battery charger. I'm not saying it's impossible to run an LED off of a battery, I'm saying you won't be able to charge that battery with direct impingement, and that it's not a very good idea to put LED's on your irons.
Just think about it. The gun spends a fraction of a second with gas in the gas system, and much more of its time is spent not firing. You would be better off putting a hand crank on the side and charging it that way.
