Gun owners are an immense demographic across all cultural and social lines.
I teach basic handgun safety and I have had multiple LGBT, blacks, hispanics, women, everyone come in to take basic defensive classes and basic safety courses.
If anything, women and disabled and gays need the guns more than most of us. They are called equalizers for a reason.

The number of households is increasing faster than the population, however, due to people staying single longer, divorcing more, etc.
