Were Berzerkers of the ancient world equivalent to todays spec ops? What were the common weapons, such as rapier?

Berserkers did not have rapiers. They were drugged out Norsemen who broke out into a violent fervor during battle.
Berserkers were definitely not spec ops. They were normal fighters, just on shrooms.

A berserker, literally bear chest or bear shirt, was a champion, usually part of an earl's retinue. There are no indications that they ever went berserk, there were no mushroom brews they took, and they didn't break from their formation to charge the enemy's ranks.
As for their weapons, typical Norse weaponry. Sword, shield, spear, and ax.

Janissaries, Immortals, Kunoichi and Mongol Horse Archers were the true ancient spec ops. They coordinated the efforts and small groups were able to decimate large forces.

Not necessarily true. There are accounts of female warriors, but they are definitely the oddity. Once we get out of antiquity and into the latter half of the 1st millenium, you start getting more confirmed reports of females fighting. Mostly as ladies defending their holdings while their husbands are away. This is not unique to Europe, mind. This happened in Japan as well. I don't know Chinese history worth shit, but I'd bet you it happened there as well.

I would say that in general the average female warrior wasn't as good as the average male. And there are some funny things that happened. In one case in Japan, a young woman was leading the defense of a castle. She ended up sallying out with the defenders, but was captured. She ended up living out the rest of the war in the other guy's castle in pretty much house arrest. A minor lord ended up falling in love with her while she was there, so following the war they got married and by all accounts had a fairly good life together.
