personally I think removing the skip and hydraulics would be a good place to start, then replace the skip with a lighter weight bed and you'd have over 363 tons of hauling power on a flatter platform.
That's enough weight allowance to mount two 16"/50 Mk7 guns, without a turret,
or six Abrams on the back, then by removing the motive systems and any surplus turbines gain more weight allowance back for more CROWS
what about 12 M270 MRLS vehicles, minus the M993 carrier vehicle means guess what, even more wieght return for more rockets
or even 12 bradleys, remove everything but the armour and the turret and you've got one fucker of an APC

I'm thinking remove the skip and elevating hydraulics, put a gimballed machinegun on each side, and one on each of the back corners. (Bottom level) Firing ports on on the top level with one or two gimballed guns and one or two mortars firing from the top. Moar machine guns in front with steel armour plates bolted on wherever necessary. Small cameras everywhere to feed information to the drivers and machinegunners and a guy at a control station for a quadcopter drone to spot for the mortar guys. Also armour plates that can be lowered over the sides of the wheels for extra protection while moving slowly over relatively even ground.
Build a support carrier and make some baserunners from it.
