Any other anons have their guns engraved? Local shop just got a laser and is only charging $25 for engravings so I gave it a go. Just replaced my PTR-32's polymer stock with a wooden one, so decided to have some fun.

PTR-32 has the same stock and hand guard as the PTR-91. Besides, I like the engraving and I loooove the wood furniture (that replaced this) that I spent a week stripping, staining and re-finishing.

I looked around first. Some gun stores near me do mill engraving and charge anywhere from $100-$300 for some shitty engraving. Thankfully, my favorite LGS just bought a laser and only charge $25 for whatever the fuck design you want. I just sent the guy the picture I liked, he converted it and I went in and got it engraved. Call around and see if anyone near you has a laser. Cool shit.

Glad the people at my LGS were as autistic as I am and guessed it right off the bat.
Gonna drop some engravings I did on an 80% lower. It's been smoothed down finished with alumahyde 2 since these were taken.

I free handed with a sharpie before I did it. I wasn't even really planning to engrave it since I was staying at my parents for the weekend, until I noticed the dremel in my mothers jewelry workshop.

I paid the premium for it. HK Parts. The stock is only like $30 if you buy it alone, but you can only get the hand-guard WITH the stock, which is like $150 or whatever. Same deal over at Robert RTG. If you can get the stock alone, and find the hand-guard somewhere for cheap, that's your best bet.

Yeah, I got a simple family crest I found in my grand mothers albums. I got it printed on T Shirts that my wife and I wear when we go hiking and shooting.
Would love to get it engraved on my dads Colt 1911 slide plus some of the guns I have that I plan to pass to my kids.
