Honestly I wouldn't even shoot a .45 indoors without serious ear pro. I shot my friends rock island in the middle of a field with no earplugs, I couldn't even do a full mag, it was that painful.
I can stand 5 rounds of 54R without ear-pro, but 4 rounds of .45 and I quit. The 911 call after you fire the weapon would be terrible, yelling into the phone at the dispatcher and asking "What?!?" every 30 seconds.
