Sup /k/

5 years ago, myself and two friends took 6 mannequins to a unmanned range in MO. In short eventually the LLE showed up (podunk town) and all of us got tickets for failure to adhere to conservation rules. Failure to use paper targets only. We all had court dates for it, and we plead guilty since he witnessed us blasting them.

So now for every job I apply to I have to explain why I have a class B misdemeanor.

tl;dr
Shot mannequins at a range and got caught, now I have a Class B misdemeanor. How bad exactly did I fuck up /k/?
>>
Should've researched the rules of the range instead of assuming you could shoot whatever you wanted there. A simple phone call probably would have sufficed.
>>
>>28683627
Bullshit. Jobs only ask for felonies.
>>
>>28683627
>we plead guilty since he witnessed us
Faggot. Even if there's almost no chance to get off free, it's your duty as an American to force the system to spend $30K for the $3K you spent on a lawyer.

Even outside of this specific scenario,
>admitting to anything
>not shutting the fuck up and waiting for a lawyer's instructions
You are a dumbass. Every American above the age of 12 has heard the "STFU with cops or you will just hang yourself and give them the rope to do it with" meme multiple times, often from their own parents and from educators. You and your friends should have taken it seriously. Moron.

Please commit suicide or sterilize yourself so you don't pass on the genes for credulity. You are so fucking stupid that you are effectively a nigger, whatever your biological race may be.
>>
>>28683653

In hindsight yeah. We would have cleaned everything up and no one would have even knew we did anything there. We were not gonna be assholes and leave garbage and messes there.

>>28683658
IDK what fuckin state you live in fudd, but in MO we have to report all non traffic related misdemeanors to employers. If they ask and you lie, and the background check comes dirty you are DQ'd immediately.
>>
>>28683689

Funny thing was I never plead guilty actually. My two friends did before me and I was third and the judge realized it was the same case and just handed my shit to the lady for payment.

I didnt say anything to the cop or admit anything to him. He witnessed me shooting a 12g pump at 5 black male mannequins. He thought it was funny. I didnt even say shit in court. Fine was $100. Paid it and never went back to that range.
>>
>>28683689
>lives in the great state of misery
confirmed retard and genetic liability

OP: you are too stupid to live. Please suicide for the sake of our society and genepool
>>
>>28683723
And this goes for everyone in MO. Every single Homo sapiens in Misery is either a nigger or a white nigger, or a serviceman desperately waiting for his next PCS. There are no real humans in MO.
>>
>>28683723

lol this was 5 years ago. The mannequins wasnt my idea. My friend worked at a clothing store and took a bunch of throw aways that day. I just wanted to shoot but ended up doing hoodrat shit in deliverance country.
>>
>>28683762

This is true for the most part. Except there are tons of innawoods types waiting for a great big uprising. Had I known the stuff that I know now, I would have pleaded not guilty and forced that LEO to meet me in court. But since its about 40 miles from where I live I just wanted to pay the fine and get it over with. Didnt know it was a class B until I checked it for employment shit.
>>
>>28683689
IDK what fuckin socialist hellhole you live in faggot, but in the real America you don't have to report jack shit to employers unless it's a felony.
>>
>>28683846

This is especially true for GOV jobs.

On our applications, it states if its a misdemeanor or felony, not related to traffic its required to give them the info for the incident, the charge, and the explanation for what happened.

This happened today for two jobs I applied for, one was a hospital job and another for a security related job. If you dont fill it out right and they do a BG check, you get fucked. Automatic disqualifying conditions in the agreements.
>>
>>28683721
Sounds like an open and shut case about violation of your sixth amendment rights.

Findyourself a lawyer, preferably a jewish one.

>bettercallsaul.jpg

I have a felony for refusing to pay child support for a child who isn't mine.

Now I carry a 1858 Pietta repro, because I can't own anything else.

Thanks "justice" system.

I knew I didnt have to admit to anything. My friends were faggots and scared to try and fight it. Like I said had I known what I know now I would have been more on the end to fight it. In MO its impossible to get shit expunged or taken from your record and the Misdemeanors never get removed.
>>
>>28683627
your cop must fucking hate you, or you guys looked like little kids.

I took plenty of shit to unmanned ranges. there's no rules saying "paper only". Was this Rocky Forks or something?

OP I feel for you. I really do.

Check into your state's laws regarding setting aside convictions or expungement. Get an attorney to help if you need to, best money I ever spent.

Here is what they charged me with. I told past employers it was just a littering fine since it never really says what we did. Fuckin glad there isnt a "Shooting man shaped objects" clause or something.
>>
>>28683994
Um. Did you LEAVE the targets there? Because if you did I now think you're kinda retarded.
>>
>>28683983

I did look into it. Online it says that getting anything expunged in MO is insanely difficult. If you read the statute they claim we were guilty of breaking, it doesnt state specifically it was related to guns which is the main concern. I may look into it again but It doesnt look too positive in the ways of getting it removed from my record.
>>
>>28683952
You can probably get it expunged on the technicality that you didn't actually get a chance to plead.

Right to a fair trial and all that jazz.

>>28683944
As in proven through a paternity test it's not your kid, or just your word against hers?
>>
>>28683658
A ton of places will have all-inclusive questions that ask if you've ever been arrested, charged with a crime, convicted of a crime, etc., all in one go.

It's pretty bullshit since you can only answer "yes" or "no", meaning if you were just arrested and released, or charged with but not found guilty of a crime, you still have to put yes to the whole question and that implies you may have been convicted of a crime in the past. Most HR people will just toss out any application that says "yes" without a second thought since they have plenty that say "no". It's fucking shit.
>>
>>28684007

No. The mannequins were made of some sort of fiberglass or paper mache stuff. We cleaned everything up and threw any debris away. Like I said we were not going to leave any trace we were even there. We were simply caught in the act of shooting at them. It was funny watching the cop try to get the serials on some old milsurp guns. We had a beat up nagant and an Ishapore he could just not figure out which serials to use.
>>
>>28684020
>t since you can only answer "yes" or "no", meaning if you were just arrested and released, or charged

Right. And I explain that it was simply a littering fine usually. They dont look what the RSMO code is for. Even then, I think we sort of got off light. I thought I was gonna get a firearm related charge at the time.
>>
>>28684020

We were not arrested or arraigned either.
>>
>>28684048
>>28684064
there's no reason you should have gotten any charge, assuming you're telling the complete truth, and I recommend you either deal with a 5 year old misdemeanor which won't really do anything or get a lawyer to trash it.
>>
>>28684064
>Even then, I think we sort of got off light.
Really? I think you got fucked by a cop being a dick.
>>
>>28684077
What? There was no arraignment and you never entered a plea? The fuck kind of kangaroo courts is Missouri running?
>>
5 years?

go for an expunge if you have been clean.
>>
>>28684077
>no arrest
>no arraignment
>didn't actually enter a plea

...why the fuck hasn't a lawyer snapped onto you like a b-reel scifi leach yet?
>>
>>28684089

The cop wasnt a dick to us. What I think happened was there was another group leaving when we came, and they saw my buddy with a mannequin and called the cops. But that is my guess. Otherwise we never saw cops or rangers ever at that location.

>>28684088
I would need to seek free counseling on it first. From what I can read, it has to be 10 years from the violation to be granted.

"the following criteria for each of the offenses listed in the petition for expungement:

(1) It has been at least twenty years if the offense is a felony, or at least ten years if the offense is a misdemeanor, municipal offense, or infraction, since the person making the application completed"

It was in the middle of bumfuck no where mate. We went to this range many times and never saw people there, rarely ever any shooters unless it was deer season.

>>28684136
I had not really thought about it until just recently. Currently I have a job but wanted to put feelers out for something I can eventually do armed. Now it pisses me off thinking about it.

But then again, this is sort of why I posted it here since I am at a brick wall. I wonder how many opportunities I missed out because of shooting some fuckin mannequins at a range.Whatever though, the shit was fun.
>>
>>28684160
you're not trying to get it expunged, you're trying to get it removed from happening in its entirety to begin with.

They were using firearms not in the in a manner not specifically authorized by the commission on a wildlife refuge/wildlife management area/state forest/natural area/lake/fishing access/any land or water owned, leased, or managed by the Missouri wildlife commission.
>>
Wast this at Reifsnider? I remember when I was a kid (this was 17-18 years ago), people would bring old TVs and all sorts of garbage to shoot up at that range. It wasn't illegal or against the rules. That's just what people did and they had fun doing ti. I recently started going back to that range and noticed that they had "Paper Targets Only" signs stapled to the trees by the parking lot. I did NOT notice anything that said "punishable by force of law" on those signs, though. I was thinking about bringing my steel targets recently but fortunately I decided against it.
>>
>>28684925

It was Reifsnider. The actual posted sign near the lot stated "paper targets only". Yeah it got really bad out there with the trash and stuff. I hear LEO used to go and put a bowling pin out on the range and wait to see if someone shot it and then start writing tickets.
>>
>>28684012
Attorneys. They are trained and experienced in navigating insanely difficult laws. The good ones like to prove people wrong and maybe rub their face in it a little.
Spend the $$ if its really that important to you, or continue to work shit jobs and ask for legal advice on a Malaysian Midget Porn image board.

>Warrenton
>Warren County
whelp, that fucking explains that. Those sheriffs are some serious fucking cunts.
I'm normally a pro cop guy, but I've yet to meet a Lincoln or Warren county sheriff whose sole purpose wasn't to write as many tickets or be as much of a dick as possible.
Not to mention Warrenton and Foristell polis.

Go make friends with someone who owns land and likes to hunt durr and help them build a berm and a range so you can not deal with those nerds.
>>
>>28685017
That's pretty fucked up. Honestly, I think there are very few shooters who find "trigger trash" offensive. If it's actually ON a shooting range and not randomly in the woods, then trash actually enhances a shooting range, since it gives you more targets to shoot at. Why can't conservation fuckheads ever understand this?
>>
>>28685119

We were discussing the range on a plot of unbuildable land today. Like I said before, the cop wasnt a dick to us. He actually acted like filling all the paperwork out and checking our guns was more of a hassle. I also plan on checking out about getting it fixed. Would be pretty expensive probably by the end of it but I dont want it following me around forever.

>>28685105
I currently do not work at a shit job. I make a decent living and was looking to switch jobs because thats what you do. Never get comfortable in one place making X amount of money. Can always make more elsewhere.

>>28683653
Here in the MO, we don't make phone calls. We just get tickets and misdemeanors
>>
>>28685244
Broken glass and clays are great to shoot at with the .22. I don't like when the range looks like a fucking garbage dump, because there is usually nowhere to set up paper. But I prefer it to be more than just a bare dirt berm if I'm going to be plinking.
>>
>>28686944

Me too but Im not an asshole to the local conservation department areas. I just get caught shooting mannequins and have to pay fines for it. There is a difference between "my personal compound" and the local outdoor range.
>>
1. buy land and shoot on it
2. stop hanging around faggots
3. know your fucking rights kiddo

Remember that your ancestors were culling Yankees in Missouri (or being a filthy Yankee) and many of them were 15-16 year-old men. No excuse for you not to know some fucking laws
