What is your most prized gun? What makes it so special to you? When did you get it?

For me, it's my Marlin Model 1895 GS. I mean, look at it. It's beautiful. She's an expensive girl to feed, but she is well worth the price. Nabbed it in October.

my Mosin M44.
A bit boring choice perhaps, but dat fireball & kick...man! Everyone who's gotten to try it calls it a "flame thrower" now.

Plus it's built like a tank.

My Mauser Model 71. All matching, no import marks, good condition, and still fires perfectly (with lighter loads of course).

>What is your most prized gun?
Probably my pre-Norinco Chinese AK
>What makes it so special to you?
On the technical side:
It is only one of only about a thousand rifles imported by it's importer, and these about a thousand rifles are some of the only AKs in the US actually marked on the receiver as an AK47 and not some sort of made up sporter model designation.
On the personal side:
It belonged to my stepdad and it was the gun I learned to shoot on when I was like 9 or 10. I have know idea how many rounds it's had through it over the years, and I have no idea how many of those rounds were from me. I used to be able to ask permission to get it from my stepdad's safe and go shoot in the woods in my backyard whenever I wanted as a kid
>When did you get it?
My stepdad gave it to me on my 21st birthday, and he bought it brand new in the mid-late 80s with a bunch of accessories and 1000 rounds of ammo for a whopping $350.

Sweedish pack on kommando store.

>>28684819
The action is smooth, and the fit and finish is great. From what I've read a few years ago the quality was bad, but in the last two years the quality has improved.

On my end I've not had any issues. But I've only put maybe 40 rounds through it. Not from lack of wanting to, but rather price per shot.

My gp-100.
Dad and I went to a funshop when I was still in middle school to get his cc handgun. He saw me eyeing a bunch of guns and asked me what I would want if I could have any of them, and I pointed out the gp since I was obsessed with revolver at the time.
10 years later I turned 21 and he got it out of his safe and handed it to me when my ccw got mailed in.
I always carry a semi auto since she's a bit too big, but I might carry her from time to time since texas passed open carrying and I don't have to worry about printing anymore.

I don't really know. I like all of my firearms for various reasons. I guess my favorite is my Glock 19, I've carried it for years and fired over fifteen thousand rounds through it. I've shot it dirty, clean, with expensive defensive ammo and cheap shit tula, and it doesn't care in the slightest. When I'm out in the desert fucking around it's sitting in its holster ready to go, regardless of what rifle I'm carrying or what other guns I've brought out.

It'd have to be my G43. All matching with original scope. I was told that it's a vet bring-back, it doesn't have import marks but I guess there's no real way of knowing. I got it about three years ago when I was on leave.
>>
I love all my guns pretty much. But the guns i got from family mean the most to me. I have three that date from the 1950's or earlier to my family, so it's nice to keep them in good shape and enjoy them.

I ahve a K43 and I can tell you the history of them is kinda shitty, the design is kinda shitty (slide plates, why?) and overall everything about the K/G43 is just kinda shitty. If thats your thing since its a war model then thats fine but I kinda regret buying mine for its price.

>>28692752
Most people ditched them due to their slave labor tier builds and they jam way too often. Also explode due to spiced rounds, spiced metal, spiced builds.

Luger or Johnson. Can't really tell.
>>
>>28692801

Gotta add that I'm not one of those nutsos who name their rifles, but there's always a special love-hate relationship in the air for that particular one. It's shit compared to the fresh and new ones, it's been through hands of uncultured swines on several boots and it never has any tacticool shit on it, but it's yours and it's your responsibility to give it it's meaning. It's like the poor homeless orphan of the gun family and you almost feel pity for it because its fate. It just always wanted to be a good rifle and look how it is now... ;__;

In terms of sentimental value, my M1903 that I inherited from my grandfather. The only problem is that the stock is a motherfucker and shooting it feels like getting punched in the face. I think I've always had it.

In terms of favorite to shoot, my K31. It has that perfect blend of history, quality, and thump to make me happy just sitting with it next to me. I bought it last year as a Christmas gift for myself.
