whats the best and prettiest shotgun?
i dont have a shotgun yet, and figure i just one 1 for the rest of my days so it's gotta look pretty and be a good shooter
im really diggin the remington 870 - nice wood stock and pump action, not tactic00l, reliable, american classic
but im really just starting to dwelve into the shotgun world so idk where to begin
give me some ideas :)

Get an older all steel 870 brudduh. Best shotgun is best. Mine is maybe 40% finish with scratches and chips in the wood and a thin layer of surface rust and I still get the old fudds at work lusting after it.

Freedom Group bought them out in 2011 IIRC, and Freedom Group has been known for cutting corners all over the place to maximize profits. Finishes are big deal now, they had a batch of 887s where the firing pin was sticking in the forward position so when you chambered a round, BOOM. Freedom Group also bought Bushmaster, Marlin, and several other companies.

If it's around $500, then you get yourself a nice Benelli Supernova.
If it's under $1000, you can enjoy a classic Ithaca Model 37 with walnut stock and corncob pump.

Mossberg 500. Just as many aftermarket accessories and parts as the 870. I don't know what edition mine is since it has a golden trigger and ported barrel but everyone keeps asking what it is and where to get one. I've had this for more then 10 years and it's served me well.
