I love my Detective Special. One of my favorite snub noses. Beautiful piece of hardware. They don't make them like that anymore. It's only fedora if you put some mythical bullshit about it. I just like mine because the nice Colt Royal Blue on it and that it shoots pretty well for a gun made almost 50 years ago. Just don't run plus P in it too much and you're golden.

I own one and I just like it because it's essentially an updated version of the 1911 for a a higher capacity. I love having a 15 round mag in mine. The only issue I have is the magazine disconnect but once you remove that it's solid. I don't think mine is a gentleman's gun but more of a great platform for all steel 9mm. Not a big fan of polymer guns because I prefer the weight of solid metal.
I think the only real fedora weapon is the katana.

It took a bit of getting used to shooting .357 out of that small gun. I gotta put the front sight post about halfway over the rear sights to shoot straight which was my biggest issue when I first got it. 5-shot cylinder, shiny nickel finish... I enjoy it alot, even if the trigger's a bit heavy but I suppose that's a good thing on a carry gun.

I own a Hi-Power. It's fun to shoot and I like a single-action 9mm that has an all metal frame. Just personal preference but since everyone else has gone to polymer frames it was my first choice when looking for a new 9mm.
It does look sexy but that's because Browning knew how to design a weapon really well.

Revolvers on the other hand actually cost money and have plenty of use as self defense, completion, and potentially even hunting guns, outside of the lowest Taurus build they'll set you back for a good handgun in a decent but not exactly 9mm-tier inexpensive cartridge (>Buying a revolver in anything other than magnum calibers).
Taking that into account, the real fedora of the gun world is the Mosin Nagant, a cheap $150 rifle that reminds neckbeards of a time when "men were men" (aka, the dregs of society who were handed rifles and told to go clean up after the front line guys, when all they really did was mass rape) and believe that walking into the local gunstore and grabbing one will somehow make them just like their fantasies of what those men were like because they believe all their actual problems can be fixed with a single purchase.
