billions of tiny airborne particles that make you bleed on the inside

Not really

The posture and body language that lead up to getting stabbed trigger the most basic "FUCK ITS TRYING TO KILL ME!!" fight or flight reaction. Its the same reaction you have at a predatory animal attacking you

the guy with the sharp pointy steel is gonna be alot more scared of me if i have a gun pointed at him

>stealth
the notion that dozens of guys who are way more badass than me, trained to kill better than me, and have experience killing countless others via clandestine methods falling out of the sky and slashing my throat in my sleep or at my guard post is terrifying. the fact that i'd likely be a tiny roadblock in need of removal before they can move on adds a rounded tablespoon of despair and helplessness to it as well. just another corpse that has to be made real quick in order for them to finish their mission.

i'd imagine being pinned down by a skilled sniper would also be horrifying.

ICBMs inspire a certain paranoia that no other weapon manages to. Just one of these things vaporize a small nation and bring about the Ned of the world. Jesus.

A pointy piece of lead and copper that can kill you from distances far enough away that you have no warning whatsoever that you're going to die soon

I'm not sure nerve agents are as miserable as they're often made out to be. They do act pretty fast.

21ft rule is for holstered weapons vs drawn knives. It's about the element of surprise. You could have literally any weapon and reach somebody before his weapon is drawn.

Sarin kills you by keeping the muscles in your body from relaxing. Imagine every muscle in you body clenching untill you pass out from oxygen deprivation because your lungs dont work. Sure its over in a few minutes or less, but its fucking agonising
>>
>>28650482
Several classes of chemical weapons are known for the excruciating pain they cause. Nerve agents are not one of them.

People have survived nerve agent attacks, but nowhere can I find any account of sheer agony being a symptom. At most, I can find allusions to "abdominal pain" and "dull eye pain."
>>
>>28648374
Biological weapons, gas..
I've had nightmares about that still scare me to think about it. Some unseen killer that you're powerless to fight. You just watch people around you start convulsing and know you're next. A complete sense of powerlessness.

I also got stabbed, bled out and died in a dream once. Freaky freaky freaky dream that bothered me but it still isn't as terrorizing because in your head you can fight.
>>
>>28650992
Depends on the nerve agent. The ones that cause uncontrollable muscle contractions are the nasty ones.
>>
I don't think you are really getting the point. Sure, napalm, biological weapons, being attacked by A-10 - these all sounds fucking horrible.

But what are the chances? What is the real possibility that it will happen to you? How often you heard about that stuff happening in your proximity?

And now - knife attacks. You know they are here. You know they happens pretty much all the time. You know that only thing you need is a fucker who will decide to stab you and he will do it.

And what are you going to do about it? Stop getting out of your house? Avoid all people at all times?

It may happen and when it happens you will most likely be bleeding out. And the only thing keeping you alive is sheer probability.

Chlorine trifluoride
Reacts with nearly everything but air, causing sudden ignitions and massive outputs of suffocating gas. also produces massive amounts of fluorine in the burned out wound cavity.

Yeah thats how the anti-cholinesterase inhibitors work, the inhibit the enzyme that breaks down the "contract muscle" transmitter. As a result the "contract muscle" transmitter sticks around and your muscles are locked on in contract mode.

>It doesn't matter what is more likely.

Sure, because fear is totally objective thing that is easli qualified into measurable tiers. Yet you're more likely to fear some things that are possible and not the most horryfing shit that is basically unlikely. Or you may, because I don't really fucking know - maybe you fear spiders?

But spiders aren't really that scary, right? But some people still fear them, no matter what is your opinion on that.

Simple though expetiment for you - there is a neihgbourhood A and neighbourhood B. In A there is 1:500 chance that some fucker will decide to stab you in the eyes before he leaves you to bleed out. In B there is a 1:50 chance that some fucker will simply decide to stab you before he leaves you to bleed out.

Which one do you fear more? Which one would you prefer to live in? You suppose all people would choose B because it is so less terryfing, huh?

Dying alone , depressed and sadden because you were not a good enough person or father to have anyone stick by you as you rot in the corner of your apartment wondering where it all went wrong until you have the courage to exit bag or if you hate yourself so much to slowly strangle yourself with a belt tied to a door nob and cutting your Achilles heel so you know you won't get back up.
