I work for an armored car company and I'm looking for a weapon to carry that isn't a revolver, isn't a glock, doesn't cost 1k+ like a sig and can take being smashed against a wall.
Also, any body armor recommendations? Is stab resistance worth it?

Smith & Wesson M&P full size in 9mm or .40 S&W. The guys at the armored car company that serves my work all carry them and seem pretty happy with them.

Shop around. I paid $500 for a Sig P220R with the night sights. Former range gun but I field-stripped it and examined it. Put 500 rounds through so far, works like a charm.
If you want brand-new, then a Springfield XD, or an M&P.
Alternately CZ97.
What caliber are you looking for? 9mm isn't an option, are you one of the .40 lovers or do you demand .45?

Honestly I recommend 9mm. Memes aside it is perfectly appropriate for manstopping with modern expanding defensive ammunition and modern +P. You also get more capacity, lighter recoil, and cheaper ammo. In a real firefight, shot placement matters a lot more than caliber, and if you are in a position where you could be attacked by multiple hostiles, the extra capacity could very well save your life.

H&K USP .45 is perfect for you but is about 1k. Second to that, I'd take a glock for being smashed against a wall, but you don't want that. CZ makes some good pistols, as others have said, but I'd either reconsider the glock or your price range if I were you. You still might go with the CZ, but for a gun that you want to be perfect, don't worry about aesthetics or spending a couple hundred dollars more.

To add on to this, I'd recommend a 10mm; if someone is robbing an armored car he is going to be wearing kevlar. Maybe even plates. Getting a 10mm will help against that compared to .45 or .40.
