See, that's the problem. How do we know Desert Tech won't just mirror Kel-Tec with respect to their production numbers? Even if they start shipping in Q2 2016, who knows when you'll actually get one. My RFB's serial is in the 200s, they could always be had on gunbroker.
What's the price on it?
They've arguable created the perfect platform, assuming it ends up reliable and accurate. Better snatch them up quick, I can see demand being pretty high initially. For the past 2-3 years no one has shut up about it, and for the past 2-3 years its been coming out "next year".

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. If you already have a rifle though and you really want a bullpup, it's probably worth waiting to see how they turn out. Might turn out nice.
As for giving them money now and hoping for a good product later... Go ask /v/ how pre-ordering worked out for them.

I'd be in the market for one when and if they get it to the market, and after a few people run the shit out of theirs to verify reliability, identify problems, and let desert tech fix them in the production line.

I'd much rather have a 6.5 over .300, But I'd take either over 5.56. Whatever that company in the US that made AUG clones was, MSAR, was supposed to make 6.5 SPC conversion kits and rifles available. But, then they folded, and it was as vapor as Half Life 3. Picture for pictures sake.

You can see how they got the weight down so much - the bolt carrier group is miniscule. They better be pretty confident in their sealed system fouling protection, because there isn't a whole lot of reciprocating mass inertia there if the carrier gets slowed down by something.
The delayed free-float tappet piston is neat as hell though. I don't doubt the 1 MOA claim if their MDR barrel blanks are the same Walther Lothar CHF as their SRS line.
