>reliable
>reasonably accurate
>great customer service that will replace your broken Hi Point unconditionally
>only $150

So why do these guns get so much hate again?

I mean, I know there are better options out there, but how the fuck do people have an issue with paying only $150 for a gun that'll go bang every time and has a lifetime warranty?

You see, I'm poor as shit and genuinely curious about if these things are functional as Jamal Repellent or not, but because of meme-spouting shits like you I can never fucking tell.

I'd go to some other site to try to get honest reviews and stats on it, but fuck me, as I can't find anything concrete because people everywhere else are legitimately retarded, and not just pretending.
>>
>>28624791
Don't pump 400 rounds a week through it or get it wet.
You're golden
>>
>>28624791
Just save your money you poor faggot. You can literally get a S+W m&p shield for $350 and take it anywhere you go. Twice the price of a highpoint, yet infinitely better.
>>
The reviews I read typically state that these are jammomatics.
People saying they are perfectly reliable is a meme.
Usually from people that never shot them and just agree that since it's so horrible in every other way it must at least be reliable.
Extremely picky with ammo as well

People always forget: IF IT JAMS, SEND IT TO HIPOINT. They will fix it. I've heard many accounts of this.
>>
>>28624847
>350$
All I'm seeing is 450, 550 and higher.
700+ for anything in 45 ACP, because I've heard a number of people not even feel getting shot by anything much smaller

>>28624813
How does it handle heat and humidity? I live in basically a goddamn swamp. Anything I should do if it does get wet?

Go to a gun show. Saw at least 5 ranging from $340(used) to 380(new) last week. Also, grow a pair and actually barter your price.
>>
>>28624947
Also if you live In a swamp I'll assume you mean south florida? Im literally Everglades tier here, and all those prices were at the Miami Gun Show. >>28625014

I'm literally going to have to move inland soon because the ocean has eaten half the fucking Parish over the last few years

haha damn. But anyways, don't blow the little money you have on the tempting "affordable" highpoint. Just save longer man.

Well you see, it's like this.
>huge
>single stack
>horrible trigger
>horrible ergonomics
>unreliable mags. Keep in mind that single stack mags are the easiest to make reliable, and they fuck it up. Aftermarket mags are even worse.
>full-size pistol available in stupid calibers like .32acp, still singlestack, still 10rd mags
>nobody makes holsters for it
>have I mentioned it takes single-stack mags, which suck, despite being the size of a fullsize USP/92FS?

worked a side job as an RSO at a local shooting range for 15-25hrs/wk for a couple years. Every time I saw a hipoint I went to my bag and grabbed whatever free spray lube I had that month.
9/10 would not feed reliably until I shot the rails full of lube and cycled the gun by hand a half dozen times, then they worked fine mostly.

maybe poorfags on /k keep their weapon better maintained than most shooters and that's why they haven't had issues but the pistols suck
>>
>>28625622

i know older models and older clipazines suck ass but mine have worked fine

Listen OP, get a ruger pistol, virtually any of them from the LCP/9 to the SR9 series are 300 or so, sometimes under. Or get an SCCY for less than that or get a makarov or tokarev for roughly the same price point, all of these will be more expensive than the Hi Point, but all ofthese are superior options to use for defense, don't waste your money on Hi Point unless you just want one for a gag, they're inaccurate unreliable bricks that are worse than even Taraus.

I actually want a hipoint, i live in California so im not sure how overpriced they are.

I already own three nice pistols but why not another 9mm that's dirt cheap and decent? Can't be that bad, probably made of zinc so i could do work on it myself if i wanted to mod it.
>>
>>28629287

I might ask my gunshop tomorrow how much i could get a 9mm pistol or carbine for, fuck it.
