Either an M48 or a Vz28. The Vz is a lot smoother and lighter but the M48 is closer to a K98 in terms of appearance.
Both are great guns and can be had for under $300.

That isn't the only kind of durability that exists, that's a one-time situation that doesn't exactly simulate everything a service rifle might go through in its lifetime.
On top of that you're trying to compare two whole weapons platforms and making as wild a generalization as "the AR can take more than the AK" is pretty retarded in general. Durability can vary so much depending on which variant and model year you have, any one test means pretty much nothing.
I have owned and shot both and have no preference one way or the other. They're both beautiful and rugged platforms. Please stop being fucking stupid and just repeating the latest hot meme.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Suomi m/31 submachine gun yet. True 1st generation submachine gun designed by a self-educated inventor Aimo Lahti, who could not do math for calculating structural durability and probably due to that tended to have more than enough steel in his firearms. This weapon is seriously heavy (6.48 kilograms / 14.4. pounds with full 70-round magazine) to be a 9-mm submachinegun. Cyclic rate (with Finnish submachine gun ammo) about 900 rounds per minute. The design also has a quick change barrel and was commonly issued with two barrels which both had about the same point of impact (no need to zero in the weapon after swapping barrel). Most common magazine type was 70-round drum, which the Soviets copied for their own submachineguns (PPD & PPSh). Remarkably reliable and accurate weapon, but also very expensive to manufacture.
How effective was it - February 1942 corporal Viljam Pylkäs armed with Suomi m/31 (and assisted by another soldier who loaded magazines for him) ambushed company size Soviet force and had a firefight against it. By end of the firefight he had killed over 80 Soviet soldiers.
Structurally this thing is so strong if that one accidentally fires it with round (with no gunpowder or much too little of it) that leaves bullet in bore, one just needs to fire the next round after it - and it will knock off the stuck bullet. This will create a bulge in barrel and may blow out extractor claw, but if one turns right of the weapon down it will still extract cartridge cases and keep running. Introduced in year 1931 these remained in Finnish inventory until 1990's.
