What the fuck is the design of that muzzle brake supposed to do? Vent more gas out the side before thrusting what is the equivalent of a fart out of the brake cut? It looks like a piece of shit that was not thought out and only exists because it looks cool and the muzzle flash would be super edgy and shaped like an arrow. It's not going to diminish recoil nor will it enhance it.

What the fuck is the shape of that hand guard? No one has hands shaped like that. No one rests their fucking middle finger on anything when they're holding a rifle nor do they rest their trigger finger down and below the trigger when practicing trigger discipline. It's an unnatural position for the hand and it's not somewhere you're going to put your hand. It's there to look cool, but I'm not fucking stupid.

The slab on this trigger tells me that instead of pivoting like a normal trigger, it fucking slides backwards like a 1911 trigger, ergo it's probably mushy as fuck and useless. The best triggers are usually single-stage triggers with little travel before actually tripping the sear to release the hammer. This thing has a fucking inch of travel and is mushier than a fucking tomato. This trigger alone would prompt me to land this abomination in the fucking trash bin.

I'm assuming this is a safety. It has two fucking dots and neither of them make any fucking sense, nor does the placement of the trigger. It's unergonomic as fuck and doesn't do much to tell the user if it's on safe, if it's set to semi-automatic or if it's set to full automatic. It's a little fucking slider set behind the user's thumb. Not above it. Not slightly in front of it. Behind it.

The placement of the bolt and it's charging handle don't make any sense to me. The charging handle is clearly on the left side for ergnomic reasons but it's placed in the wrong fucking area where the charging handle would be on a traditional rifle; not a bulpup. Considering that the fucking rifle is chambered for 7.62 real fucking nato, the travel of the bolt is too short. In addition to this, where in the love of god does the rifle eject from?

To be fair, it probably ejects on the right side, or underneath the front of the handguard. We can't see the ejection port purely because of the position o the rifle, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

This is obviously meant to be flash hider off of an M14. However that flash hider is adequate in day-time conditions, in low light settings the M14 has a muzzle blast like a spot light. However, I really can't hold it against them because at the time this was designed firearms weren't necessarily a popular topic and guys like the AKOU didn't exist. But if this were made today, I'd call them a fucking idiot for not researching their muzzle devices. Again, that information probably wasn't available at the time.

1. The Aug has a real muzzle brake.
2. The Aug doesn't use a red dot and it has backup irons
3. The handguard doesn't have a major kink in it.
4. Steyr does have a mushy trigger
5. The Steyr's safety is a clear in or out and sits above your thumb.
6. The charging handle on the Steyr is forward of the pistol grip and not in your face. It also has a good ~10 inches of travel.
