The S&W TRR8 Is a military revolver in 357 Mag. 8 shot cylinder. It has its uses in the context of using a breaching shield with a side arm. I believe a revolver can use higher powered loads as well
For a gun you leave in a room until needed, picking a sidearm is a poor choice. They massively compromise the very important feature of ease of aim for the sake of carry-all-day portability.
And to also massively compromise capacity for the sake of personal preference by choosing a revolver on top of that, it's far from ideal for the role.
But if your priorities and budget are such that it's the best you have and you don't care to buy something better for the role and train with it, there's nothing wrong with that.
