Been watching Total Eclipse since the last thread.
It seems like the ideal vehicle would have little armor, be tracked, have a 40mm autocannon and a 120mm+ autoloading high rate of fire cannon. Everything that can damage the tanks in the universe can punch clean through any other kind of armor, so it's worthless as it is, doubly so for those tanks that seem to be covered in ERA for some reason.
Vastly cheaper to afford than mecha.
Also, shit tons of attack helos. DPICM and landmines.

It's 36mm. A weird caliber, but would be as effective as a 35 or 37mm API-T round.
I can understand, tho. An RPG-7 with a HEAT warhead might just punch a hole through the very resilient BETA hide and blow off one of its arms, while many smaller-caliber airmor piercing rounds literally turn it into mince.
That soldier just had a bad luck. In other examples, infantry weapons like the AK and RPGs are very effective against most smaller BETA strains.
My reply from last time hasn't changed: Rods from God. No, lasers can't shoot it down because of plasma sheathe and inert constrconstruction. Hives are stationary so we know where to hit, and the tech to send lots of heavy shit into space exists in this universe already. Just use big enough rods moving fast enough and plenty of them, the hive issue will be solved quickly. Just fight the surviving BETA for the next 10 cold dusty years.
