Whats best in the 4 inch "compact" range? Give ups and downs and why you would carry it.
So far

Sig p320
Glock 19
Walther PPQ
HK VP9
>>
>>28569181

I'd go with the PPQ, it has a really nice trigger and a super short reset.
PPQ and VP9 feel pretty much the same to me. Though I prefer the PPQs mag release.
Sig P320 feels more or less like any other sig in the hand but doesn't have that DA/SA trigger, and it has a higher bore axis over the PPQ and VP9
Theyre all really nice but if just one of them was offered to me, I'd grab the PPQ

the glock 19 is probably the most size efficient gun out of the 4 there.

>Whats best in the 4 inch "compact" range?
Of the ones you listed, the Glock 19 is the best. It's the smallest, lightest, the most proven, and has the same capacity as the others you listed which are much larger.

Of all possible options, I am very partial to the HK USP Compact LEM. It's almost the same in height and length, and just a hair thicker and a couple ounces heavier. It is hammer-fired and shoots better, IMO, than any of the striker-fired pistols on the market. The LEM trigger is superior to a Glock trigger in crispness, with none of the disadvantages of hammer-fired firing systems. It has a light take-up, heavier "wall" breaking point, and short reset.

The Remington R51 got similar awards when it came out.
>>
What about the sccy 9mm? Any good?
>>
>>28571401
It does some things right. If you just need a carry gun and you will never be shooting it recreationally, it might be enough for you, but I would not personally spend my money on one. There have been many reports of them breaking after only a few hundred rounds fired through them, and I've seen enough youtube videos of them malfunctioning to doubt their reliability.
>>
>>28569181

I like the PPQ especially M1, but although it is similar in size to a G19, the Glock is easier to conceal
>>
I'm honestly surprised Smith and Wesson hasn't made that .45 compact M&P in other calibers yet

PPK make a good carry gun?
>>
>>28570783
Vp9 is the same size as a 17, so the glock 19 already has that
>>
>>28572517
I would imagine so. Although you're better off getting a Bersa. Same looking gun for half the price. If you're dead set on Walther, try a PPS. Got one for $300 and love it.

Which would be a better carry/pocket gun: a LCR or S&W model 36 or colt police detective?
>>
>>28574807
lcr is super light thanks to polymer and aluminuim but i have no exp with the other two.
>>
P320 in 45 is amazing. Glock 19 if you want 9mm. Others have s one way ticket to the trash can
>>
>>28574828
I would love if they made a longer barrel form of a LCR, maybe keep it small like a LCR but a long barrel.

Best carry pistol if you want something that jams every other shot and will most likely end up getting you killed.

$325 isn't a bad price, I've seen them go online for that much and that's before shipping and FFL fees. From the reviews I've seen it's a good gun as long as you don't mind supporting Turkey. Also realize it's a full-size so concealing it might be difficult, but 18+1 is nice to have.

I own one. They're really not that great aside from the grip. Mine's been somewhat reliable when clean and fed strong ammo, but I wouldn't use it for self defense.
>>
>>28569181
Fns9.
PPQ m1 if you must PPQ. Only gripe I had was the PPQ was all plastic even the sights. Frame rails and all. Sure you could get a steel guide rod for it but you would have an extremely ergonomic glawk.

I have around 800 through my VP9 with no issues. If I could change anything it would be stronger springs but I like them weak because its a good range gun for beginners.
>>28583790
This, I love mine.
>>
>>28584815
Saying compact due to other pistols in the same range being considered compact.
Compact isnt compact in the gun world
>>
>>28584838
Don't bother.

>>

3.30 left in it
>>
>>28584933
How about if I find one in a lgs or pawn for 40-65 should I grab one? I wanna find a nice SNS
>>
>>28584889
I know what compact means in the gun world. The Glock 19 and P320 Compact are considered "compact". They have full-fingered grips with 15 round capacities. The PPQ and VP9 have longer grips the same length as something like a Glock 17 or 1911. They are not compact.

I have a 4" FNS with a full+ 17rnd grip and it's no "compact" either.
>>
>>28584967
>I wanna find a nice SNS

Well good luck with that

My recommendation will be to not waste your money, but if you find one for closer to $50-$75, go ahead.
>>
>>28569181
/k/ approved carry-pistols

Glock 19
Walther PPQ/P99
Sig P320
HK USP Compact

anything else is a meme.
