I suppose this is the best board for this...

How would someone create a building/structure to prevent effective and secure room clearing tactics as much as possible?

I think long hallways without cover are the usual nightmare scenario...

Also, I like bunkers.
>>
>>28565012
murder-holes, and no dead ends are very good as well.
>>
>>28565012
MC escher levels of design must be considered
after that vertical sliding doors, false doors, bricked off rooms, rooms hidden behind walls, secret hatches and passages everywhere, and a few30 foot deep ballpits help too

Long hallways, firing ports in hardened doors, every room has two entrances except closets. Of course some closets lead to secret doors.

Make it possible to fall back indefinitely because every room leads to more rooms and has bullet and blast resistant doors with murder holes. Also, multiple stairs and ladders between floors.

All internal doors are revolving doors.

That would really fuck room clearance. It would make a choke point and trickle feed the enemy into the room.
>>

That's pretty fucking creative
>>

Room clearing is already nearly impossible.

it depends on many factors.

For home SWAT defense, i recommend fishing line at ankle-level to every door.

But seriously if you are going to fortify a building you want to make the stairwell unusable. Mine the first floor. Punch through the floor to move between floors. Entry to building made impossible without ladders.
>>
>>28565012
Build a ceiling height chain link fenced area 5'x5' or so with a padlocked gate immediately inside of the doorway.
When they breach the main door they won't be expecting to have another one right there to deal with and it will give you enough time to shoot them or escape.

I imagined it as there being two catwalks on either side above the hallway so you could have people on the catwalks shooting into the hallway from both sides.

It would be cool to have a door which closes from the ceiling at the base of where the corridor comes into the room so you could trap whatever was in there.

Doors that just fall off the hinges towards the oper8tor
Doors that require two people to open

An industrial strength magnet in the wall
Firemans rods everywhere
Have full sized mirrors with shadows painted on them
Have an entire room with 2 doors on every wall and lasers coming from the cracks
Open a door into a giant hole that falls onto a ball pit with spikes underneath
A giant sandpit trap with mirrors in the distance
A door that leads into a maze of glass but with occasional mirrors
A giant speaker on the roof that plays nasheed
A ton of speakers everywhere that constantly play sounds of Arabic talking
The occasional timed gunshot from another catwalk
A dark room with hallways painted on cardboard and a shotgun rigged behind it.

Every room is U or L shaped. Doors placed to allow maximum blind spot.
Doors open randomly towards or inwards. no visual distinction possible.
Door knobs on the wrong side (like hinge side)
Main entrance leading to second or even third floor only. Panic/ last ditch room on first floor with a one way only secret exit.
Entire house/building is built into medieval tier rampart, entrance leads to a big opened area overlooked by the main house.
You can go from terrain entrance to house entrance by a S ramp with 3 meter walls.

I really love the idea of ankle level fishing line. I am going to buy some, it can be used indoors or to protect a camping site outdoors.

I worked at a place that had an internal man trap. Key card access to a door led to a small room with rubber placements for your feet. The door would close, and then the the next door would open. We tried to defeat it by going in two at a time, with one person stepping on the other's toes. It didn't work. In that instance, a little longer wait resulted in the outer door opening again.

I always had a creative idea for a panic room

>long hallway half a shoulder's width and 20 foot long. 1 foot tall steel/concrete barriers carry past the hallway like a trench to prevent thrown explosives and flash bangs from harming you and a gas mask to keep safe from chemical weapons
>room at the end has a camera parallel to the hallway with a monitor in the panic room
>A hole is right under the camera: about 4 foot off the ground
>When they come for you, wait for them to get 2 feet from the room, then hit the switch
>hole in wall was an opening to an anti-tank rifle with tungsten rounds hooked up to a remote mechanism
>Best results come with 5 or 6 mooks lined up in the hall
>Dead bodies now block the opposition with fear and physical obstruction
>Underground escape route once opposition has been killed or gives up

Rate my death trap

Curved hallways for lack of cover.
Ball pits.
Having hallways open into two doorways on both sides at the same time.
Similarly, + or T shaped junctions of hallways.
Spiral staircases.
All rooms have doors placed in the center of the wall, so that there are corners on both sides of the door when one enters.
A total lack of right angles in hallways, rooms, and stairwells. Bonus points of having inconsistent angles that don't add up to a nice shape.
Constant elevation changes within the same floor, to cut off visibility.
Multiple staggered floors.

Maybe you should be bothered to read it. That way, you wouldn't look like an ass when you're proven wrong with data pulled from your own source.

Article 2 clearly defines what a chemical weapon is, and what a riot control agent is.

Article 1 only refers to chemical weapons, except for the last line which states that riot control agents cannot be used as a method of warfare.

Training is not warfare. Just as military policing and law enforcement is not warfare, which is why many units use OC spray as a means of less lethal force.

IT'S EVEN ON THE WIKIPEDIA ENTRY FOR CS GAS.

"Use of CS in war is prohibited under the terms of the Chemical Weapons Convention"

The articles also explicitly say it's illegal to use chemical warfare against ANYONE. That would include training people by deliberately exposing them to CS. People have DIED during training from those exposures, dude. It's illegal as fuck and against treaty.

The Wikipedia article for pepper spray ALSO says it's illegal under the Chemical Weapons Convention.

IT'S ILLEGAL, IT BREAKS INTERNATIONAL TREATY.

Yes, I understand pepper spray is better than the alternative and I understand the importance of training troops, but it doesn't change the fact that it's FORBIDDEN.

It's illegal for the soldiers to be given CS gas to train with, so it's probably illegal for them to train with it!

Read it again. Use some Google Fu. I suck at research but it's obvious that it's breaking treaty.

Doesn't always work, even if the guy is without a mask you could just endure it with enough will. Speaking from personal experience here. We filled a house with tear gas for an hour or two (didn't really keep track of the time) But the guy wouldn't come out. Only came out after we shot a LAW at the bedroom outside wall.

You know all the ballpits and flacid dragon dildos hanging from the ceiling are fine and dandy, but the real challenge would be to have something you could live in comfortably, and inconspicuous enough that you could have family visiting.

I'm thinking about a buletproof, reinforced fake ceiling. Like they do in the movies with air ducts, but actually viable and designed so you could squeeze in there and either wait for the entry team to assume you fled, or crawl around and shoot at them through strategically positioned hidden holes.
Install a well waxed wooden floor in there so you can zip around on your belly.
Stash pistols and gasmasks at various locations.

What the fuck if I had such a place I'd spend time in there just for the hell of it, sounds comfy.

Didn't we go on a binge slamming Saddam because we thought he had chemical weapons even though he bought sarin gas from us Americans?

Murica.

so, a completely unliveable building. Got it.
>>
>>28574345
Dude, the OPCW is the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. They are the reason for the treaty. There is no other internet source more reliable on this matter than the OPCW.

It's like physically reading the Declaration of Independence, but trusting a summary of it from Wikipedia as the basis of a paper.

You also missed the fact that TRAINING IS NOT WAR, AND NEITHER ARE MILITARY LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITIES.

It specifies that you cannot use CHEMICAL WEAPONS.

CS gas and OC spray are clearly listed under Article 2 as RIOT CONTROL AGENTS, which are not located on any of the classification schedules for chemical weapons, because they aren't chemical weapons.

It also does not state that riot control agents must be destroyed and cannot be possessed, only that they must be accounted for and reported to the OPCW.

If you're going to disagree, at least cite the article that you believe refutes my statements, instead of telling me to do more of my own research, when yours is clearly lacking.

YOU should read the articles again. Don't trust Wikipedia, where anyone and their brother can go in and change it. There's a reason why teachers and professors don't want people using Wikipedia as sources: It's so often wrong, because the people who write the articles are ill informed, and they aren't challenged on the quality of their information until someone who actually knows what they're talking about comes along and calls them out on it.

Make one of the hallways a dead end hallway, but so that way when you enter it in a rush you don't notice it. After that, replace the floor and all the ceilings with stuff that's like sandpaper, but something that's really tough. After 2 people try entering fake coridor, they either are running on a non-stop treadmill, or fall over and are slowly killed. The second person then has the ability to rest on the body on his fallen comrade. Then you let him free.
Bonus points for live streaming it.

You've got a good point.

But if the constitution can be changed, laws can be changed, anything can be changed just like Wikipedia....

And what you think is true today can be wrong tomorrow.

Law is bullshit.

Oh, I completely agree on that aspect. They are subject to the whim of those who generally give fuckall about anyone other than themselves, except if it suits their needs (YAY ELECTIONS).

I guess it depends on interpretation.

If it's illegal to use on our enemies, wouldn't be illegal to train people to use it?

>they are training people to defend against it

Depends on interpretation. You can't train people to defend against it without simultaneously training people to use it... otherwise the training would be impossible.

See pic and respond literally.

Obviously revolving door will not be made of glass or similar material. Solid construction is needed.

Also issues of ingress and egress don't matter with the sallyport system.

Problem with that is that if the speaker and microphones are too close then you'll just get an endless feedback loop and blow the speakers. However you could have a thin carpet line the hallway. Under this you could place dozens of contact microphones. They only pick up vibrations through solid objects so you could use that to pickup the SWAT teams footsteps, amplify that without risk of feedback from speakers. Or use the sound impulses to trigger other sounds when the microphones are stood on. It works. I've tried it

Front door made of Gerber Dime vacuum formed packaging.
Narrow hallways lined with thousands of pre lubed reciprocating dicks attached to carbon steel rods driven by three phase hardwired fuck machines that shoot my used cum that I stockpile in 2-liter bottles.
As you travel further down the hall the dicks begin to get larger and larger, more and more have poop on them.
Age of Aquarius music blaring in an endless loop over flea market stereo.
Every room at the end of hallways is a DMV packed shoulder to shoulder, standing room only with coughing asians.

Nah, I prefer thick blastdoors. Explosive entry? Good luck. Reinforced concrete is cheap and everything big enough to make a dent in it requires either time to set up or is bigger then the access tunnel. Also you get that fancy evil lair feeling.
